It was the final step, and Jared felt as though his blood was boiling. His veins were about to get crushed.

Letting out a thunderous roar, he released all his spiritual energy.

Suddenly, Jared stumbled and fell on the top of the stairs.

Caressing the white marble throne gently, Jared sat down on it out of curiosity.

“The Seven Stars Eclipse forms a tomb of an immortal. There must be a treasure on top of the throne!” he declared. His voice was trembling from anticipation.

As if he had lost his mind, Flaxseed beamed and ran toward the throne.

He had just placed one foot on the stairs when his body trembled. It felt like a horrifying burst of energy was heading toward him.

Flaxseed’s heart sank as he quickly whipped out a charm and drew something on it.

“Breeze Charm!”

After sticking the charm on his body, he promptly turned as light as air. The enormous pressure had disappeared.

Flaxseed hurried up the stairs. He had just taken a few steps when the pressure rendered him unmoving again.

Flaxseed did not expect to be forced to get to his knees. A crack then appeared on the stairs.

The charm on Flaxseed’s body burst into flames and was burned to ashes.

At once, Flaxseed could not even raise his head from the enormous pressure.

Nevertheless, he gritted his teeth and got to his feet. He then forced himself to take another step forward.

Right after he took one step, the terrifying power attacked him again. Flaxseed could not regain his balance and was sent flying out, resulting in his body crashing to the ground.

Fortunately, he did not go too far. Flaxseed spewed out a mouthful of blood from the impact of the attack.

Chapter 1374 Make It Up

Three days had passed in the immortal’s tomb. Flaxseed gazed at Jared in resignation after he realized he could not cultivate when Jared was around.

Finally, Flaxseed understood why Jared was this powerful at a young age. His technique was too horrifying! Right then, Jared slowly opened his eyes and exhaled sharply at the sight of the withered Verdant Ganoderma.

With the help of the Verdant Ganoderma and spiritual soil, he got to increase one level in Martial Arts Marquis. As of now, Jared was a Second Level Martial Arts Marquis.

“Mr. Flaxseed, how much time has since passed?” Jared asked since Flaxseed was staring at him intently.

“Three days,” Flaxseed snapped.

“Three days?” Jared had no idea the Verdant Ganoderma’s spiritual energy would be exhausted this fast. “Didn’t you say it can last for at least one month?”

“It can last one month for an ordinary energy cultivator, but you are different. What sort of technique are you practicing? It’s really horrifying! Just like a vacuum cleaner, you absorbed all the spiritual energy. I didn’t even get anything!” Flaxseed roared.

Jared was embarrassed to hear that.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t think too much about it. When we get out of here, I’ll give you some herbs as compensation,” he offered awkwardly.

“There’s no need to wait till then. I want most of the treasures we get here,” Flaxseed announced.

“There are other treasures?” Jared could not hide his surprise. “Isn’t this Verdant Ganoderma a treasure? I thought this is a fake tomb. Why are there other treasures lying around?”

Jared assumed the Verdant Ganoderma was the only treasure in this tomb.

Flaxseed replied, “Even if this is a fake tomb, the Verdant Ganoderma isn’t the only treasure here. You’re underestimating the potential of an immortal!”

Having said that, Flaxseed leaped up and headed to the shore.

Jared could not contain his excitement as he went after Flaxseed.

I can’t believe there are other treasures within the fake tomb!

“This is a Seven Stars Eclipse structure. The Seven Stars are not worth mentioning. The most important part is the last structure, Eclipse. This is a tomb, but not a real one. It is one of the seven fake tombs. However, the Verdant Ganoderma isn’t the only treasure here. We can find the most valuable treasure in the last structure,” Flaxseed explained patiently.

What? A Verdant Ganoderma is the least valuable magical item in this fake tomb? That means the magical items in the real tomb must be incredible!

Zion’s heart thumped furiously as his expression changed. Right then, two men wearing metal masks came in. Zion paled when he spotted them.

“Zion Zeigler, how could you embarrass the alliance when you are the president? Tanner is upset. How dare you lie to him? Do you know what you did wrong?” one of them questioned coldly. Zion’s legs nearly gave up on him.

He could barely stand on his feet as he replied hastily, “Sirs, I did kill Jared previously. I didn’t lie! It’s just a rumor that he’s still alive. I’ll investigate the matter now. If he’s still alive, I won’t let him escape. I promise to chop his head off and hand it to Tanner.”

His voice was trembling as he gave him their word.

Letting out a snort, the law enforcers replied, “Tanner is displeased with your actions, so watch it. This is your last chance.”

With that said, they spun on their heels and left.

After the law enforcers left, Zion hurried to the slum in the outskirts of Jadeborough where Flaxseed’s house was.

When he arrived at Flaxseed’s house, the door was locked. There was no one inside. “D*mn it, he escaped!” he cursed angrily.

Meanwhile, at the Deragon residence in Jadeborough, Ryker wore a grim expression.

He had been upset ever since he discovered that his son was possessed by a spirit.

“Dad, you’re right. Jared is still alive! Looks like I can get my revenge now!” Edgar was delighted to learn that Jared was still alive.

“Edgar, Jared’s strength has improved a lot. Even Zion couldn’t kill him, so you shouldn’t underestimate him!” Ryker reminded him.

“Don’t worry, Dad. Jared might’ve improved considerably, but I’m improving at a rapid speed, too. I hope you can find some martial arts expert for me to help me in my training,” Edgar responded.

Ryker knew what Edgar meant—the latter wanted to absorb other people’s power to improve his own strength.

However, Edgar will definitely attract Mr. Sanders’ attention if he absorbs the martial artists’ power in Jadeborough to increase his own strength. I remember Mr. Sanders mentioning this specifically in the meeting not long ago.

The location would have to be attractive enough. Ryker was reluctant to part with a valuable resource, but he had no choice.

With that thought in mind, Ryker got to his feet and went to contact the other families. He would need their help to organize a training session.

He also had to send a formal request to the Warriors Alliance and receive Mr. Sanders’ approval. There were many complicated steps.

Most importantly, Ryker could not let any big shots join the training session. It would cause a commotion if they were to join the training but ended up dying inside.

Some might even suspect the Deragon family for organizing the training. Thus, Ryker had to come up with a thorough plan before deciding on the location and candidates.
