Chapter 796 Look at Your Brother
With that, Tessa and Gregory went upstairs to get the violin. When Nicholas and Remus saw this, they stopped playing chess. Timothy and Kieran, on the other hand, sat on the couch.
After a while, a melodious and cheerful melody sounded in the living room. With a prelude, Tessa guided Gregory into the piece slowly, and the harmony built up as time passed by.
The cooperation between the two was completely different from the first time, and they had a full understanding of each other.
Gregory had a very keen sense of music. As Tessa led him on, he was able to pick up very well. They played pieces after pieces, and although those were not difficult pieces, it was a wonderful auditory experience for everyone.
Stefania and Remus were surprised. After all, Gregory couldn’t play anything before, and now he could play such beautiful music after just a short time.
As the last song ended, Gregory looked at the crowd excitedly and asked, “Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Kieran, Uncle Timothy, did I do well?”
“You’re good, very good.”
Everyone praised Gregory. Remus looked at his grandson, who was getting better and better at the violin, and he couldn’t help looking at Tessa. “You taught all this?”
She nodded. “Greg has a good sense of music, and he also likes music, so I taught him.”
Hearing her answer, Remus and his wife were quite satisfied.
Next to them, Kieran also joked, “It seems that if our family goes bankrupt in the future, we don’t have to worry about running out of money. With the musical skills of Tessa and Greg, they can support our family by going out and performing.”
“Kieran! You little fool, why do you say such stuff about the family?” Stefania got up in irritation and tried to pinch Kieran’s ears.
“Ouch, Mom! I was wrong! Sorry! Just take it easy.” He tilted his head, but no one was sure if he was really in pain or if he was yelling on purpose.
The others watched and laughed.
Then, Stefania glared at Kieran, who was deliberately making fun, and preached, “When will you be able to become mature? Look at your brother! He already has a second child, yet you don’t even have a girlfriend. It seems that I should find a wife for you. I’ll have to let her take good care of you.”
“Mom, no! I don’t want to get married yet.” He looked miserable. He just said what he said to lighten the atmosphere, yet his mother suddenly brought up his marriage matters instead.
She didn’t expect her younger son to resist marriage so much, so she immediately began to nag him about it. “Why don’t you want to get married? Look at your brother! He already has two children but look at you now. You’re all grown up already. Do you want people to assume that you and your son are grandfather and grandson in the future?”
“Don’t exaggerate things. I just don’t want to get married in the next few years.” Kieran defended himself and begged for mercy again and again.
Tessa and the others were in tears from laughter.
Gregory also teased, “Uncle Kieran, you should listen to Grandma. If you become old, you will not get a good-looking woman as a wife.”
“Greg, why are you bullying me? Am I not your uncle anymore?” Kieran pretended to be sad and looked at Gregory.
In the living room, cheerful laughter sounded again, and everyone felt happy and warm.
Later in the day, Gregory began to feel sleepy. Thus, Tessa asked the servants to let the little boy shower and rest. Remus and Stefania saw that it was getting late and proposed to leave. Then, Kieran and Timothy also followed.
Back in the room, Tessa was quite happy. Nicholas naturally sensed Tessa’s happy mood and asked with a smile, “Are you in a good mood?”
“I feel like your parents are slowly accepting me.” Tessa looked at Nicholas with a smile, her pair of eyes as bright as stars.
Seeing the bright smile on his wife’s face, Nicholas smiled too. He nodded lightly, took her into his arms, and said softly, “This is just the beginning. When they get along with you more in the future, they will like you more and more.”
Even though he said that, Tessa was still a little worried.
