Chapter 794 Arrival
In the living room, Stefania recovered her senses from being stunned. She was a little surprised as she looked in the direction of the kitchen because she never thought that Tessa knew how to cook.
Can she cook?
After all, to Stefania, Tessa was an artsy person and didn’t look like someone who could cook. As she was thinking, she got up and went to the kitchen to see Tessa already in an apron.
Even so, she coaxed, “You don’t have to cook. You’re pregnant now, so let the servants do the job. You should just sit and enjoy life,”
“I can do that, but Nicholas likes my cooking. He’s been working quite hard these days, so I want to give him nourishment.”
Tessa actually noticed the suspicion in Stefania’s words, so she smiled lightly. “Don’t worry, Mom. My cooking is still edible. You don’t have to worry about me tiring myself out either because I don’t really cook often. Due to my pregnancy and violin training, Nicholas didn’t let me cook. It’s a rare chance now, so I’ll take the opportunity.”
“Grandma, Mom’s cooking is really delicious,” Gregory chimed in at the side.
Stefania gave him a look, then noticed that Tessa was skillfully working while talking to her. It didn’t seem like Tessa was faking it, so Stefania’s worries were lifted.
Not long after, the fragrance of food filled the kitchen. Gregory was also Tessa’s most supportive fan. They hadn’t even started eating yet, but he was already praising her.
“It smells so good! Mommy, I think I’ll eat a lot tonight.”
“Mommy, let me help.”
The little guy diligently helped Tessa set the food on the table, almost drooling.
In a while, dish after dish of mouth-watering food was served. There was also a large pot of meticulously cooked soup in the kitchen. When the dishes were almost ready, Kieran and Timothy arrived.
As soon as the two entered the house, they couldn’t help saying, “It smells so good.”
Hearing their voices, Tessa led Gregory and Stefania out of the kitchen.
She saw Kieran and her own brother standing in the living room. Tobias was there with them as well. Seeing that, Tessa greeted him courteously, “Dad, you’re here.”
“Hello, Grandpa, Uncle Kieran, Uncle Tim.” Gregory greeted them as well. Tobias nodded, then expressed confusion as he noticed the apron Tessa was wearing. “You…?”
“I cooked the dishes for tonight. Dad, you can taste my cooking in a bit,” Tessa smiled as she explained.
Tobias was surprised to hear that because, just like Stefania, he thought that since Tessa dabbled in art, she probably couldn’t do chores.
He looked at his own wife, a little suspicious. Of course, Stefania knew what her husband was thinking, so she nodded lightly. However, at the side, Timothy frowned slightly.
Tessa… You’re pregnant, yet you’re cooking for so many people. How could this be?
His heart ached a little for his own sister, but he didn’t say anything about it.
Just then, Gregory tottered over to Tobias and said cutely, “Grandpa, do you know? Mommy’s cooking is really delicious. Daddy and I love Mommy’s cooking the most.”
“Really? Then I’ll have to try and see how good it is.”
Tobias lovingly took Gregory into his embrace.
As Stefania watched Tobias interact with his grandson, a gentle smile bloomed on her face.
She turned and looked at Tessa as she asked, “Dinner is ready, I believe?”
“Yes, we can start when Nicholas gets up,” Tessa smiled as she responded.
Stefania nodded, then called Andrew over and asked him to go upstairs and fetch Nicholas. Soon, Nicholas made his appearance in the living room.
When Tessa saw him, she immediately went over to him and asked in concern, “Did you sleep well?”
“Quite well.”
With a smile hidden in the corners of his lips, Nicholas nodded slightly. At the same time, he took Tessa’s hand as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
He found that his parents were present too. “Dad, Mom.”
“Now that you’re up, let’s eat.”
