Chapter 732 I’m Pregnant
When Nicholas saw this, he became more certain that Tessa was hiding something from him.
His eyes sank slightly. He knew that Tessa would not tell him no matter what he asked, so he changed his strategy.
“I don’t care what happened. You are not feeling well, so let’s go to the hospital first.”
After he finished speaking, he strode forward and directly grabbed Tessa by the waist.
The woman was stunned for a moment before she immediately began struggling.
“I’m not going to the hospital.”
She grabbed the bathroom door with her hands, preventing Nicholas from leaving with her in his arms.
His face sank immediately, and he said a little angrily, “Why don’t you want to go to the hospital? Is there something wrong with your body? Do you know that you’re making me very worried?”
When she heard the man’s annoyed voice, Tessa felt guilty and apologetic. Her eyes turned red, and tears fell from them drop by drop.
Outside the door, Sebastian could hear that something was wrong. Thinking of Tessa’s recent physical condition, he couldn’t help but come in and say, “Master Nicholas, Miss Tessa has been feeling weak over the past few days. Do talk nicely to her.”
Nicholas looked at Sebastian before shifting his gaze to the pale girl in his arms, and he finally softened.
“You may leave first,” he said.
Sebastian hesitated for a while, but he still nodded and exited the room.
At that point, the room fell silent except for Tessa’s soft sobs.
Nicholas looked at the girl who was crying silently in his arms, sighed inwardly, then gently put her on the bed.
Following that, he squatted in front of the woman, raised his hand in anguish, and gently wiped away the tears on the girl’s cheeks. “Don’t cry, I didn’t mean to yell at you just now. I was just too worried about you.”
However, the gentler he was, the more uncomfortable Tessa felt in her heart. She felt that she was really selfish, so she cried even harder. When he saw Tessa getting sadder, Nicholas felt powerless for a while.
He stood up, took her into his arms, then patted her on the back again and again to reassure her. “It’s okay. No matter what happens, I’ll be by your side.”
For some reason, this comfort had an effect, and Tessa’s mood gradually stabilized.
Eventually, Nicholas let go of her and asked, “Now, can you tell me what happened?”
Tessa looked at the man’s serious expression and opened her mouth.
“I…”
She hesitated as she still had no idea what to say.
Instead of rushing her, Nicholas waited patiently. Finally, Tessa closed her eyes and said, “I’m pregnant…”

The girl’s words caused Nicholas to freeze in place.
He looked at Tessa in amazement, the surprise and joy evident in his eyes. “Are you pregnant?”
Tessa nodded lightly. When she saw the man’s happy expression, she felt a little complicated.
Nicholas didn’t realize that at first. He was immersed in utter joy after getting Tessa’s affirmative answer, and it took a while before he realized that Tessa didn’t look very happy.
Combined with what happened over the past two days, he had some guesses in his heart, and he couldn’t help but suppress the joy and tentatively asked, “Is this why you’ve been abnormal these days?”
Tessa was stunned for a while, and it seemed as though she hadn’t expected Nicholas to ask such a question.
The man looked at the hesitating girl and thought of other possibilities. His face darkened as he asked, “Why do you feel distressed? Don’t you want this child?”

Tessa didn’t know how to answer. She lowered her eyes and bit her lower lip in awkwardness, not knowing what to say. Nicholas saw how she was trying to avoid the topic, and his face became even worse.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? Is that a yes? Do you really not want this child?” His tone was a little cold.
“That’s not it,” answered Tessa as she denied it quickly.
Nicholas looked at her and asked again, “In that case, what is it?”
