Always Been Yours Chapter 505

Chapter 505 “I can’t if it’s today. Scott is arriving in the afternoon, so I’m waiting for him.” Hathaway shook her head and declined politely. Tessa was a little surprised. “Mr. Brooks has returned?” “Yes. Oh, since you’re here. Why don’t you come with me?” Hathaway smiled as she invited Tessa along. Tessa agreed since she figured she had nothing to do this afternoon. At noon, Tessa was planning to take Hathaway out for a meal. However, Hathaway’s phone suddenly started ringing.

After she took a look at the caller ID, she saw that it was a call from Scott. Tessa didn’t know what Scott was telling Hathaway on the other end of the phone. All she could see was Hathaway nodding while smiling. “I see. Sure, I’ll be waiting for you at the hotel.”

After she was done with the conversation, she ended the call. When Tessa saw this, she asked, “Is Mr. Brooks coming over?” “Yes, he’s already on his way. So let’s wait for him in the lobby and have our meal together.” After Hathaway finished speaking, she led Tessa and Gregory to the hotel’s lobby.

The three did not wait long before Scott strode into the hotel lobby wearing a silver-gray suit. They saw his tall and slender figure and his exquisite facial features. He looked just like a European prince straight out of a storybook with his elegant and aristocratic aura. It didn’t take him long to attract the attention of many in the hotel’s lobby.

However, he didn’t seem to notice those stares as he stood in the center of the lobby, looking around him. It didn’t take long for Hathaway to notice him. So, as she sat on the sofa, she waved her hand and raised her voice, “Scott, we’re here!” Scott’s lips curved into a smile when he saw Hathaway and walked over gracefully.

“Miss Hathaway.” He greeted Hathaway politely, and almost immediately, he spotted Tessa sitting opposite her. So, he commented with a surprised look on his face. “Miss Reinhart, you’re here as well.”

“It’s been a while, Mr. Brooks.” “Yeah, It’s been some time.” Scott’s eyes seemed to be conveying some deep emotion as he looked at Tessa deeply. Gregoiy was unwilling to be forgotten, so he stuck out his head from Tessa’s side and pouted. “Mr. Brooks, I’m here too.”

Only then did Scott notice Gregory’s existence, and his gaze reflected his mixed emotions. However, he quickly hid it and said with a light smile, “Greg is here too. I see you’ve grown a lot taller.” As Gregory heard Scott’s praise, he proudly puffed out his little chest and said, “I’m a good boy, and I finish all my food.

Of course, I’ll grow taller. Then, when I’m as tall as my Daddy, I can protect Miss Tessa, too.” Tessa was so moved by his naivety that she hugged Gregory tightly in response, to the point that she didn’t want to let him go. Hathaway and Scott also chuckled good- naturedly.

Soon, they started chatting in the lounge. “Miss Hathaway, I have heard about the incident regarding Kathleen. I didn’t expect her to do such a thing. It’s fortunate that things didn’t take a turn for the worst, so please be at ease. Everything will turn out fine.”

Scott brought Kathleen into the conversation and tried his best to coax Hathaway to keep an open mind. In all honesty, he felt that Kathleen had brought the trouble upon herself regarding this matter.

But, of course, it also didn’t help that he didn’t exactly have the best impression of her. When Hathaway heard his words, she only sighed and said slowly, “There’s nothing for me to be upset about.

After all, this is just the consequence of her own actions. Besides, this should teach her an unforgettable lesson, if nothing else. Her father pampered her so much that saying she’s a spoiled brat would be an understatement. It’s a good thing that Tessa let this matter slide.

I’m afraid the consequences would have been much worse for her if it was someone else.” Tessa smiled and didn’t respond to Hathaway’s gratefulness. After they took a short breather in the lounge, they went to a nearby Mediterranean restaurant for lunch.

During this period, Gregory sensibly stayed by Tessa’s side obediently. Hathaway and Scott had a good time chatting, and Tessa occasionally responded with a sentence or two whenever they directed the conversation to her. As a result, the atmosphere during lunch was pleasant.

Unknowingly, the topic of their conversation talked about the reason why Scott returned to Xerthania. “Why did you suddenly decide to visit Xerthania? Alone, as well.” Hathaway looked at him curiously and jested, “Did you have a squabble with Mr. Miller?” “Oh, no. That’s not the case,” Scott responded with a laugh. Finally, he explained, “My Grandpa was ill, so I specially asked for leave to come back to visit him.”
