After all, Sabrina’s relationship with Timothy was official in the company. “Prospera Group is despicable!” she hissed with clenched teeth. Tessa and Nicholas, on the other hand, didn’t think too much about it.
For Timothy’s sake, Nicholas reminded her kindly, “If it is really Prospera Group playing tricks on you, you must start paying attention to the current projects in hand. Never invest in a project before signing the contract again. You must also monitor other projects since Prospera Group is notorious for pulling all kinds of stunts just for their own benefits.”
As Prospera Group’s mortal enemy, he was well-versed in their usual methods.
Sabrina thanked Nicholas for the reminder, but she still looked quite skeptical because she was well aware that Prospera Group wasn’t specifically picking on Gulliver Group.
Tessa was sharp to notice the hesitant look on Sabrina’s face. “Do you have something to say, Sabrina?” Seeing the worried gaze Tessa gave her, Sabrina made up her mind.
“Yes, I do. I believe Prospera Group is targeting Tim rather than us.”
“Tim?” Tessa was dumbfounded. Nicholas’ expression quickly turned serious. “What happened?”
“The person in charge from Prospera Group came to meet Tim yesterday. Somehow, he learned about the Al smartwatch that Tim developed, so he suggested a collaboration.”
Sabrina shared about the incident yesterday. “Even after Tim rejected him, he didn’t give up. He offered to pay 500 million to buy the core technology. Tim rejected him once again, so they ended on a bad note. After that, something happened to my family’s business.”
Tessa pulled a long face after hearing that.
It was obvious that the Gulliver Group’s incident happened because Prospera Group intended to seek revenge on her brother, but they were well aware that they couldn’t beat him, so they switched their target to the Gulliver Group instead.
“Isn’t Prospera Group being too domineering? Must they force a company to cooperate with them even if the other party isn’t willing to?”
Seeing the look of distress on Tessa’s face, Nicholas frowned. “I’ll leave this matter to you, Edward.”
“Yes, sir!” Edward nodded and was about to leave when Tessa suddenly called out to him. ‘I’d prefer not to trouble you, Mr. Jackson. I’ll drop by Reinhart Enterprise later.”

He worried that Timothy might be at a disadvantage if he dealt with them alone..
Tessa understood his concern, but she shook her head and insisted, “Even if it’s going to be difficult, I can’t let you protect him every time.. He should learn to deal with crises. Besides, he might be able to deal with the issue by himself. You can protect him for now, but you can’t always clean up after him, can you?”
Her words were no doubt reasonable. Nicholas eventually compromised. “Alright. He should try dealing with the issue for now.” Worse comes to worst, I’ll help him out.
He didn’t say the next sentence out loud but instead hinted at Edward with his eyes. Edward took the hint and nodded slightly, indicating that he will send someone to monitor Timothy.
After the meal, Nicholas and Edward returned to the company, while Tessa and Sabrina went to Reinhart Enterprise. In the office, Timothy was surprised to see the two showing up together.
“Why are you with Sabrina, Tess?”
“We bumped into each other at noon,” Tess replied with a smile. Timothy didn’t think too much about her answer. He even smiled and asked, “You must have met Sabrina’s father, then.”
He assumed that Sabrina went out for lunch with her father.
Tessa, on the other hand, was puzzled as she turned to look at Sabrina as if trying to silently inquire about the situation. Is Tim unaware of what happened at noon?
With an awkward expression, Sabrina explained to Timothy softly, “Erm, I didn’t actually meet my father at noon. I went out to meet one of my family’s business partners.”
As soon as he heard that, Timothy furrowed his brows. He wasn’t upset that Sabrina lied to him, but he thought she was hiding something from him on purpose.”Did something happen?”
“You can say so.”
