Chapter 1052 Do You Think I’m Selfish
“I know.” Since Tessa decided to keep this baby, she had already thought about all these hardships.
When Sofia knew that Tessa had thought everything through, she nodded and said, “It’s good that you have thought about it. Although the future might not be completely bad, there will still be some delay. I hope that you won’t regret this in the future.”
Hearing that, Tessa knew what Sofia meant. She lowered her head and stroked her stomach affectionately. Then, she said determinedly, “I won’t regret this.”
Although this baby was an accident and she didn’t know what to do with it, it was still growing under Nicholas’ and her anticipation.
When Sofia saw the motherly aura shrouding Tessa, she said with a smile, “As long as you don’t regret it…”
When Tessa returned home later that day, her mood was actually slightly affected by the conversation she had in the afternoon. She thought, Am I really a little selfish for wanting to achieve my dream and have my baby at the same time?
Just as she was lost in her thoughts, Gregory came down from upstairs after finishing his homework.
“Mommy, when did you come back?” When he saw Tessa, he ran over to her delightfully.
Seeing him, Tessa tried her best to get it together and respond to him, but that sensitive little guy still sensed something was wrong.
“Mommy, are you upset? Who made you angry?” He looked at her with worry in his innocent eyes.
However, Tessa didn’t plan to let Gregory know about these things. “I’m not upset. I’m just a little tired.”
She used an excuse to brush him off, but he was such a smart child. He could feel that she was lying once he heard that, so he pouted his little mouth unhappily.
Without waiting for him to say anything, she cut him off first by saying, “There’s the sound of a car outside. You should go and see if Daddy’s back.”
Hearing that, Gregory knew that she was distracting him on purpose and was unhappy with it in the beginning. Yet, after some thought, he agreed to it happily.
When he went out, he saw his daddy coming out of the car as expected. He widened his eyes and ran over. “Daddy.”
“Why are you alone? Where’s Mommy?” Nicholas carried the little guy in his arms naturally and walked to the living room.
At this moment, Gregory started to tattle beside Nicholas’ ears, saying, “Mommy is in the living room, but she looks like she’s not in a good mood. Remember to cheer her up later, Daddy.”
After saying that, he came down from Nicholas’ arms cheekily and turned around to run. It was obvious that he was leaving the space for Nicholas to cheer Tessa up.
Seeing that, Nicholas couldn’t help but smile, but he still hastened his footsteps into the living room.
When he entered the living room, he saw Tessa sitting on the couch, down in the dumps as expected.
Meanwhile, Tessa heard the noise as well. She pulled herself together and stood up to face Nicholas. “Oh, you’re back. Where’s Greg?”
She looked around the place but didn’t see the little guy anywhere. As such, she felt a little strange.
When Nicholas saw that, he pulled her back down onto the couch and explained with a smile, “Greg told me that you’re not in a good mood, so he asked me to cheer you up. Tell me—what happened?”
Hearing that, Tessa didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but she was touched as well. That little guy is really sensitive.
When her eyes met his concerned gaze, she hesitated a little, but still told him about her conversation with Sofia in the afternoon. “Do you think I’m selfish?” She looked at him, waiting for his answer.
However, he landed a knock on her head and said unhappily, “You’re starting to imagine things again, aren’t you?”
Tessa pressed her hand on her painful forehead while tears welled up in her eyes.
Without waiting for her to say anything, he went ahead of her and said, “Everyone has the right to pursue their dreams. You don’t have to overthink it. It’s no big deal. I can bring our children wherever you go in the future.”
As soon as he said that, Tessa was stunned. She didn’t know how to describe what she was feeling at the moment.
After all, Nicholas was a privileged one. The world was supposed to move in his favor, but now, he was willing to do anything for her just to support her. How am I qualified for all of these…
At this thought, tears rolled out of her eyes at once.
