Chapter 1028 Arrest
Tessa laughed at Eunice’s shameless words. She completely understood what Eunice was thinking, so she was disgusted. “I’ve never seen such a shameless homewrecker. There are many men in this world, and you just had to covet my husband.”
Tessa scolded Eunice angrily. As the former was too emotional, she paused her words and took a breath before continuing, “I will never let you go. I’ll let the law deal with you!”
With those words, she turned to leave. Later that night, the police indeed came to the orchestra. They approached Eunice directly and demanded, “You have been charged with murder. Please come with us.”
“I’m not leaving. You must go through my lawyer if you have something to say to me!” Eunice tried to resist the law enforcement officer.
Unfortunately, the officers didn’t care about her resistance and took her away. As she left, the incident was spoken about all over the orchestra, and everyone was talking about it.
“I never thought that Miss Eunice would do such a thing. Now that she is arrested by the police, I don’t think she will return easily.” “I’m not sure about that. I heard that Miss Eunice’s family is quite influential in Vienna.”
“No matter what, I think her future is ruined.” “If you ask me, I feel it’s fortunate that Tessa went to the hospital at that time because of her allergies. Or else, the big thing would have hit her, which would take two lives at the same time.”
There was a lot of chatter going on. In the training room, Tessa also heard about Eunice’s arrest. After some thinking, she went to Sofia’s office.
When Sofia saw Tessa, she immediately schooled her emotions and asked with concern, “What brings you here? Is there something wrong?”
Seeing the teacher’s intense look, Tessa felt terrible.
“I’m sorry, Miss Sofia. I didn’t expect things to escalate to this.”
She bowed her head in apology.
Sofia waved her hand and sighed. “This has nothing to do with you, and it’s entirely Eunice’s fault.”
At the same time, Susan received word that Eunice had been taken away by the police, and her face was grim.
She hadn’t expected Eunice to fall so quickly.
Now, the deal we had struck earlier can’t hold up. Moreover, I think Nicholas intervened in this matter, so it won’t end quickly.
Truth was, that was indeed the case.
At the police station, the lawyer sent by Nicholas demanded that Eunice be convicted directly.
However, Eunice refused to cooperate and demanded to wait for her lawyer.
An hour later, Walter hurried to the police station with a lawyer.
Once inside, he immediately approached the officer in charge of the case and handed the officer a good cigar. Smiling, Walter stated, “There must be a misunderstanding in this matter. My daughter is well-behaved; there is no way she would plan a murder.”
“The victim has evidence that your daughter has planned a murder.”
The officer refused Walter’s cigar and went over the case in a businesslike manner.
As Walter listened, he couldn’t be angrier with Eunice.
He repeatedly told Eunice not to provoke Nicholas, but she ignored his words and made such a big mess.
Even so, Walter couldn’t leave his daughter alone.
In the end, he swallowed his pride and tried to persuade the police. “I know the victim. Can you let us settle this case out of court?”
The officer respected Walter, and he said he would ask Nicholas.
However, Nicholas refused to settle and demanded legal proceedings.
As a result, the case stalled.
…
On the other hand, after the training, Tessa went to Simon’s house for a recording session.
From his contacts, Simon also heard about Eunice and he had called Tessa for confirmation.
“I heard that Eunice was arrested and said to be the culprit of the stage incident?”
“It’s her, alright. She bribed Soren as she was afraid of being found out. Then, when Susan’s story came out, she planted the crime on Susan.”
