Chapter 842 Peacemaker
With that, Kenneth and Kristoff rallied their men to team up and prepare to fight the dragon.
“How about us, Sylvester? Should we join them?” Sean asked anxiously after seeing Kenneth and Kristoff teamed up. If they get the draconic essence, the Cooper family will be left with nothing! We might as well join them, so at least we’ll get a share of the draconic essence.
“Shut up! They’ll look down on us if we join them now. Surely they won’t give us our share afterward. Now, we should just wait and monitor the situation,” Sylvester uttered before throwing a glance at Jared. Even if we can’t get the draconic essence, we still have to do everything we can to kill Jared. We must avenge Xander.
“Colin, does Shadow Estate want a share in this? Why don’t you bring your men and fight Ice Dragon alongside us?” Kristoff asked.
None of the men Colin brought along was a Martial Arts Grandmaster. Although they were weaker, Kristoff thought he could use extra pairs of hands to join the fight. Besides, Jared and the Coopers are here. If we end up suffering heavy losses after retrieving the draconic essence, I bet they’re going to take it off our hands.
“I’m not interested in the draconic essence, Kristoff. Furthermore, I don’t think we’re capable of joining you guys.” Colin shook his head.
Indeed, Colin had only tagged along for leisure purposes. He’d rather stay alive than risk his life for the draconic essence.
“Jared!” Renee yelled because she was getting worried when she saw Kenneth and Kristoff teaming up to retrieve the draconic essence.
Jared frowned. I can’t let them get away with the draconic essence. However, it’s not going to be an easy fight if I want to go up against both of them now that they’ve teamed up. Besides, Sylvester and his men are on to me. If I end up getting injured, they’ll surely come after me.
While Jared was still in a dilemma, Kenneth and Kristoff were already approaching Ice Dragon.
“Stop right there!” Jared stood in front of Kenneth and Kristoff to stop them from marching forward.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Kenneth gave Jared a hard stare.
“Can you guys let me get the draconic essence? I’ll give you guys pills in return.” Jared knew he had to do everything he could to avoid having a conflict with them. If they were to end up fighting each other, it’d only benefit the Cooper family.
“Get out of our way! We don’t want anything you have to offer!” Kenneth’s hot temper prompted him to swing his sword toward Jared.
Jared had no trouble avoiding his strike. Renee, on the other hand, drew her sword and stepped forward upon seeing Kenneth attacking Jared.
Despite her young age, Renee was already a Top-Level Senior Grandmaster. She was on par with Kristoff at that point. If they were to fight, Kenneth wouldn’t stand a chance against her.

A crisp sound echoed in the air, and Kenneth felt his arm had gone numb. Upon the impact, Kenneth lost his balance and stumbled backward. Renee was glaring at him while standing right next to Jared.
Seeing that, Josephine and Lizbeth quickly ran over as well.
The white wolf howled and followed closely behind before growling at Kenneth and Kristoff.
“F*ck! Surround them!” Kenneth roared. Under his order, the members of Thunderstorm Sect had surrounded Jared and the others. Kristoff then ordered his men to keep their eyes closely on Jared as well.
“Calm down, Kenneth!”
“You too, Kristoff.” Colin rushed toward them and tried to be a peacemaker.
“Buzz off, Colin! I’ll kill whoever stands in my way today!” Kenneth fumed.
“No one else but Jared can leave this place with the draconic essence.” Renee looked resolute.
