Chapter 404 Regret
Since Jared was the one who gave him the money, Oliver figured he should not say anything more. If I make him happy now, maybe he will provide me with more money. After all, he is loaded!
“That’s all. Cut them, please!”
Jared threw those stone in front of Joseph.
Joseph looked at the pile of stones and sneered. “Let’s be clear. There will be no refund if there is nothing inside these stones. Don’t try to accuse us of cheating and ruin the reputation of my shop!”
“Cut the crap! Just cut them!” Jared shouted.
With that, Joseph gave an order to his subordinate. “Cut them!”
Soon, one of the stones was put on the machine and was slowly cut open.
“Ice stone! It’s an ice stone…”
Someone with keen observation shouted right away.
Indeed, after the stone was cut completely, an ice stone shone brightly inside.
“Hahaha. It’s ice stone. Now we won’t lose any money…”
Oliver let out a laugh after seeing that.
Even though ice stone was not exactly precious, it could sell for at least a hundred thousand or two. With that, they would surely make a profit.
“You guys are so lucky…”
Joseph snorted.
Jared smiled and did not say anything, waiting for the other stones to be opened.
Soon, another stone was cut open. Again, it was an ice stone.
The following third and fourth stones were all ice stones. Everyone on the scene was shocked by that. Joseph could not help but stare at Jared with a bewildered look.
Overwhelmed with excitement, Oliver took a bag and put in the stones that were already cut open. He urged Joseph, “Hurry and cut the rest. Stop wasting our time!”
When the fifth stone was cut open, everyone was stunned by a green light inside it.
Even Joseph froze on the spot.
Oliver stared at it for a while and cheered like a mad person, “It’s imperial jade!”
The crowd went into an uproar after seeing that shocking scene.
“Who is this guy? I’ve never seen someone so lucky. How could he get imperial jade out of debris?”
“This is not luck! This is a miracle!”
“Cut the crap! Evidently, this guy is an expert. No one can be so lucky!”
Joseph’s expression turned utterly ugly upon hearing those comments.
“Don’t stop. Hurry up and cut the rest,” Oliver told Joseph.
“I am not selling anymore. We won’t sell the remaining stones. I will refund you…”
Joseph started taking back the remaining stones.
Jared approached him and grabbed his wrist. “I don’t want the money. I only want the stones. I have paid for them. How could you go back on your words?”
“That’s right. How could you go back? There are so many witnesses here!”
Oliver also walked over and grabbed Joseph.
“Do you have any idea whose shop this is? How dare you lay your hands on me?” Joseph snorted.
The next moment, more than ten strong men rushed out from inside.
“What are you guys doing? How dare you ignore my existence!” Lizbeth was enraged upon seeing that.
After all, she was from the Department of Justice, yet those people showed no respect to her at all.
“Even if your general comes, I won’t be afraid. This is Mr. Wagner’s shop. How dare you create a scene here!”
Joseph looked full of pride as he had the support of the Wagner family behind him.
The Wagner family was one of the best in Summerbank. Not to mention, Luke from the Warriors Alliance was one of the four directors of the Warriors Alliance.
“Even if this shop belongs to the king, you will have to cut all the stones.”
Jared had a grim look on his face.
“D*mn it. So what if I refuse? What are you going to do about it?”
Joseph did not want to give in.
Jared landed a punch at Joseph, causing the latter’s nose to bleed. He had been holding back his strength, or else Joseph might have been dead already.
