“I wonder if you brought my brother and nephew to the Henningsen family? I hope you can release them. Now that our family has agreed to join the Demon Seal Alliance, my brother shouldn’t cause any trouble,” Oscar pleaded with Ilias.
“I did bring your brother and nephew here, but rest assured, I won’t harm your brother. I simply invited him to assist with something. Once everything is settled, I will naturally release him. You can trust me on this,” Ilias assured.
Upon hearing this, Oscar felt uncertain about what would happen next and subtly glanced at Jared.
Noticing this, Jared had no choice but to speak up. “Mr. Henningsen, in that case, could we possibly meet him? Additionally, if there’s any way we can help, we are at your service.”
Jared’s attitude was very humble, and Ilias didn’t notice anything unusual.
“You’ve reminded me. Of course, you can be of assistance. I’ll take you there.”
Ilias brightened up and quickly led Oscar and Jared out of the living room.
Jared exchanged a glance with Oscar. They hadn’t expected that Ilias would allow them to meet Tyler.
As they followed Ilias through the Henningsen residence’s backyard, Jared began sensing peculiar aura fluctuations.
However, Jared dared not show too much anomaly as he was masquerading as Vilhelm.
Ilias led them to the Holy Pond.
There, Tyler sat on a large rock, eyes closed as if in meditation.
“Tyler!” Oscar called out eagerly upon seeing him, seemingly wanting to rush over.
However, he was subtly restrained by Jared.
“Mr. Oscar, your brother is helping me break the formation. This is the Holy Pond of our family, but there’s a protective arcane array around it. Due to its ancient age, we’ve forgotten how to deactivate the formation, so we can only forcefully destroy it,” Illias explained.
However, this explanation seemed extremely far-fetched. It was clear that this didn’t belong to the Henningsen family, but rather something they had seized. Therefore, it was only natural that they couldn’t activate the arcane array.
“Mr. Henningsen, destroying formations happens to be a specialty of the Summers family,” Oscar nodded.
On the other hand, Jared was studying the Holy Pond, with its dark green liquid and mirror-like surface. Due to the arcane array, he couldn’t examine it closely.
“Mr. Oscar, it’s perfect timing that you’re here. Why don’t you and Tyler help me destroy this formation? As soon as it’s destroyed, you will be duly rewarded,” Ilias suggested, knowing that having more people destroying the formation would expedite the process.
Oscar glanced at Jared, uncertain whether he should agree to Illias’ proposal.
“Mr. Henningson, now that we’re one family, we’ll certainly help with anything you need. Moreover, judging by the size of this formation, it might take a considerable amount of time for Mr. Tyler to do it alone. With our assistance, it should be much faster,” Jared said.
It was clear that Jared had agreed to Ilias’ proposal.
“Indeed, working together will certainly yield twice the result with half the effort. However, after the formation is destroyed, I hope that you can let Tyler return home,” Oscar said.
“Of course, I’ll let him go and also prepare generous gifts for you,” Illias said as he laughed.
With Ilias agreeing to release Tyler, Oscar felt a sense of relief. If Ilias had indeed taken action against Tyler, he would never forgive himself. He didn’t want any harm to befall his brother.
