“What do you mean by ‘unspeakable difficulties?’ It seems like you’re just unwilling to give me one. If Lion Archon were here and I asked him for a telepathic beast, he wouldn’t dare refuse!” Catina retorted angrily.
“Fox Queen, we truly have no other choice. It’s not that we’re unwilling to give it to you…” Evindal replied anxiously.
Just as Catina was about to continue her tirade, Jared interjected, “Mr. Grelamin, is there something troubling you here in Spirit Beast Valley? If it’s convenient, you can share it with us. With Lion Archon absent, if there’s any way we can assist, we certainly will.”
Evindal glanced at Jared. Since he didn’t know who Jared was, he remained silent.
Catina pointed at Jared and said, “This is Mr. Chance, a man whom even Lion Archon has to respect. He is the son of a dragon.”
As Catina introduced him, Jared subtly emanated waves of draconic energy.
Sensing the draconic energy within Jared, Evindal and the others were clearly taken aback before they became very respectful. Evindal said, “Mr. Chance, we are indeed having trouble. Please, come inside. Don’t stand here any longer!”
After learning that Jared was the son of a dragon, Evindal respectfully welcomed Jared and his companions into Spirit Beast Valley.
“It seems your status as the son of a dragon is quite useful. Despite my status, they didn’t even invite me in to sit down.”
Catina, somewhat dissatisfied, followed behind Jared. Jared gave a faint smile. “When I have some free time, I’ll merge with you, elevating your bloodline as well.”
Catina smiled prettily. “Indeed, we should increase the frequency in the future. You know what? Let’s find a place to merge now.”
Upon hearing this, Jared immediately waved his hands. “I was just joking! Don’t take me seriously.”
With that, he hurriedly moved a distance away from Catina.
Feenix walked over to Catina with a smile and said, “Fox Queen, that’s enough. You’re going to exhaust Master. He hasn’t even spent any time with me lately!”
“Are you jealous, Feenix? Hahaha!”
Catina burst into laughter.
Evindal dismissed the others before he, along with Jared and the other two, traversed through the layers of buildings in Spirit Beast Valley, heading deep into its heart.
As Jared and his group ventured deeper, the scenery around them began to take on a desolate appearance.
Waves of lethal intent filled the air.
“Mr. Grelamin, are you leading us to Phantom Valley? We came for a telepathic beast, so why are you taking us to Phantom Valley?” Catina sensed that something was amiss, so she turned to Evindal and asked.
“Fox Queen, I am leading you all to telepathic beasts,” Evindal replied indifferently. As Jared and his companions ventured deeper, their surroundings gradually grew dimmer.
Soon enough, the surrounding flowers and plants completely vanished. Before Jared and his companions was a vast expanse of white. These were all skeletal remains!
However, atop these vast, bleached bones lay numerous animal carcasses, appearing as though they had only recently died.
Upon witnessing this situation, Catina couldn’t help but be taken aback.
“Fox Queen, the telepathic beasts you’re seeking are right here. For unknown reasons, these usually docile creatures rushed into Phantom Valley a few days ago as if possessed. Then, they mysteriously died…” Evindal said with a helpless expression.
At this point, Catina was at a loss for words. It seemed that Evindal truly had some unspeakable difficulties; he wasn’t being deliberately difficult earlier.
Jared, on the other hand, was frowning as he watched the scene before him, his eyes filled with confusion.
Why would these telepathic beasts suddenly run to Phantom Valley to end their lives when they were perfectly fine just days ago?
“Lion Archon went to the Celestial Battlefield and has not returned yet, so I really don’t know what to do about this situation…”
Seeing that Catina and the others remained silent, Evindal continued to speak.
“Is there not even a single telepathic beast left alive in Spirit Beast Valley?” Feenix asked.
