Jared’s fear of Jared losing his temper and killing him was deeply rooted. He knew he was no match for Jared’s strength, especially with Catina and Feenix present.
However, Jared simply gave Cameron a cold glance, fully aware that he was lying. Despite this, he allowed Catina to release him.
Turning to Cameron, Jared asked, “Are you truly unaware of your elder’s whereabouts?”
Cameron replied truthfully, “I don’t know. The technique was meant to be a demon’s method, which is why we couldn’t open it at all. Elder Nesser instructed me to try and find a way, telling me to wait here…”
Just as Cameron finished speaking, Skylar gracefully descended from the marked aura in mid-air. “This technique is a relic of the demon, completely impenetrable. I attempted to unlock it using the aura here, but to no avail…”
After Skylar finished speaking, he surprisingly handed the technique directly to Jared.
Jared took the martial arts documentation device and channeled his spiritual energy into it. However, the device remained motionless, its contents invisible.
“This object is only useful in the hands of a demon. It seems our efforts were in vain. Since you want it, I’m giving it to you. Let’s continue our search for other magical items.”
After Skylar finished speaking, he gave Cameron a knowing look, then turned around and left. Jared silently watched as Skylar and Cameron departed. Catina and Feenix didn’t say much. After all, the martial arts documentation device had been promptly returned.
“Master, what should we do now? Should we wait until we leave and seek assistance from Mr. Lothian of Blood Spirit Valley? After all, he is a Demonic Cultivator,” Feenix asked Jared.
“No need. I myself am somewhat of a Demonic Cultivator. You two wait here for me…”
After Jared finished speaking, he leaped up, hovering amidst the marked aura of the crevice. The Focus Technique spun rapidly as Jared absorbed the marked aura greedily.
Meanwhile, Skylar and Cameron, who had already left, slowly raised their heads, noticing the diminishing marked aura within the cracks.
The crevices, previously obscured by clusters of black fog, gradually began to fade. Astonishingly, one could now see the scenery above through these cracks.
“Cameron, what’s happening?” Skylar asked, confused.
“Perhaps it’s because the technique was taken away, causing the marked aura here to dissipate as well,” Cameron replied. Skylar’s heart filled with seething resentment, making his teeth itch.
However, he knew he had to endure it. Jared, who could tame the lion-tiger beast and free himself from its Ice Seal, undoubtedly possessed a power he was yet unaware of.
Originally, it was believed that Jared was dead. Unexpectedly, he was still alive. However, this worked in Skylar’s favor, as he could personally kill Jared and exact his revenge.
But it wasn’t the right moment. Skylar was no longer the reckless person he used to be. He had to act only when he was absolutely certain he could kill Jared.
His identity had not yet been exposed. He remained in the shadows, while Jared was in the light. This was Skylar’s greatest advantage, and he would not reveal himself easily.
“Cameron, it’s a shame that you gave away the technique so easily…” Cameron expressed regret on his face.
“Since we couldn’t open it, there was no point in keeping it. We might as well do someone a favor. If we didn’t give it to him, would he have let us leave?” Skylar replied with a faint smile, leaping out of the crevice.
After leaving the crevice, Skylar glanced back at the fissure behind him, a cold smirk playing on his lips. One couldn’t be certain if Jared had opened the technique, let alone seen its contents!
After an unknown amount of time, Jared slowly opened his eyes and burst into laughter.
With the marked aura, he could once again wield the Divine Bow. During his last battle with Pablo, Jared had nearly exhausted all the strength within his body.
The Celestial Battlefield was filled with spiritual energy and omnipresent celestial energy, which quickly replenished Jared.
