Upon witnessing the lion-tiger beast come to a halt, Jared realized that its range of movement was limited. Therefore, his idea of keeping it as a pet was simply unfeasible.
Catina understood Jared’s thoughts and said, “Let’s go. The lion-tiger beast no longer has its beast core, so its power has greatly diminished. Keeping it as a pet won’t be of much help to you.”
Jared had absorbed the beast core of the lion- tiger beast, resulting in a significant decrease in its strength.
If they were to take action now, the lion-tiger beast would definitely be no match for them!
Jared glanced at the lion-tiger beast and drew out his Dragonslayer Sword.
“What are you planning to do?” Catina expressed her surprise upon seeing Jared draw his Dragonslayer Sword. “The lion-tiger beast’s beast core is gone. You’ve already consumed it. There’s nothing useful left on its body. Why do you still want to kill it?”
As Catina was also from the beast race, she couldn’t bear to watch Jared kill the lion-tiger beast.
Moreover, it was likely that the lion-tiger beasts in the Ethereal Realm had long since become extinct. Only the lion-tiger beasts on the Celestial Battlefield remained.
“Who said I wanted to kill him?” Jared replied before swinging the Dragonslayer Sword against the stone walls on either side of the crevice. Eerie lines began to appear, revealing that Jared was actually setting up an arcane array.
Before long, Jared had set up a Concealment Arcane Array. As the grand formation activated, Catina looked ahead. The shadow of the lion-tiger beast was nowhere to be seen. All she saw was an empty road stretching out before her.
“The lion-tiger beast has lost its beast core, causing a significant drop in its strength. If anyone else were to enter this crevice, the lion- tiger beast might be in danger. I set up this Concealment Arcane Array to help it. Unless one is a high-level array master, it’s simply impossible to see through it. This way, the lion- tiger beast can live here peacefully,” Jared explained.
Catina glanced at Jared, a faint smile gracing her lips. “I never expected you to have such a compassionate side,” she said. “Don’t forget to show some of that compassion toward me as well. After all, I’m much more delicate and pitiful than that lion-tiger beast…”
Upon hearing this, Jared rolled his eyes instantly. He was nearly drained dry by Catina, yet she dared to call herself delicate and pitiful.
“Who’s there? Come out!” Feenix suddenly let out a loud roar toward the corner.
Jared and Catina turned around cautiously.
Cameron emerged, his face showing a hint of panic. “Mr. Chance, please don’t misunderstand. It’s me…”
Upon seeing someone emerge, Cameron immediately hid himself. He was immensely shocked when he realized it was Jared and his
group who had come out.
Especially the lion-tiger beast, it was actually following behind Jared and the others like a pet, which left Cameron even more dumbfounded.
He couldn’t comprehend it. Just moments ago, they were engaged in a fierce battle, with the lion-tiger beast intent on killing these individuals. Yet, it ended up following them.
Moreover, the Ice Seal on Jared and the others had been lifted, and Cameron had no idea why that was happening.
He had also witnessed Jared meticulously crafting the large formation just a moment ago.
“It’s you! Where is our technique?” Catina’s rage flared up upon recognizing Cameron. She strode forward and seized him by the collar of his shirt.
In front of Catina, Cameron was as helpless as a chick, utterly lacking the strength to fight back!
Cameron hurriedly explained, “I… I had given the technique to Elder Nesser. It’s not with me anymore!”
“Where’s your elder?” Catina inquired. Cameron shook his head. He had no idea where Skylar had gone. All Skylar had told him was to wait there.
“Mr. Chance, when I seized that technique just now, it was because I saw the lion-tiger beast put the Ice Seal on you. I used this method to save you and to distract the beast. I certainly had no intention of taking advantage of someone in a vulnerable state. After all, you saved my life once. How could I possibly commit such an ungrateful act?” Cameron fervently explained things to Jared.
