Suppressing her rage, Feenix left the celestial ore mine and arrived by Jared’s side.
“What did you find, Feenix? Did you locate the two of them?” asked Jared.
Feenix nodded wordlessly.
Seeing her expression, Jared frowned, a bad feeling swelling in him.
“Tell me, what happened to them?” asked Jared urgently.
“The people from Bulrush Sect… They’re monsters, Master. Every last one of them. Kiara and Izolda were tortured and ruined by them…” Feenix sobbed.
Jared was stunned for a moment. Then, his eyes turned crimson red, wrath boiling within his chest.
However, he didn’t lose his rationality. He knew that if he charged into the mine recklessly, not only would he fail to save Kiara and Izolda, but he might even put them in danger.
While they had been sexually assaulted, their lives weren’t in danger at that moment.
Jared shut his eyes slightly, calming himself with great effort. It’ll be too late by the time Catina returns with aid. Feenix and I must rescue them immediately!
After a moment of contemplation, he asked, “When you were inside, what did you see the people from Bulrush Sect and Ruby Sect doing?”
“Some of them are transporting celestial ores while others are cultivating together,” informed Feenix.
“Did they pile the celestial ores together, or do they store the ores separately?” asked Jared.
From his perspective, while Bulrush Sect and Ruby Sect disciples tended to cultivate together, it was only for their own benefit.
At that moment, they were only working together to mine celestial ores.
“They’re mining and storing their celestial ores separately. I don’t think they’re cooperating,” said Feenix.
In response to hearing that, Jared had an idea. He retrieved the Stillwind Orb from his Storage Ring.
“Feenix, I want you to reenter the cave with the Stillwind Orb. Then, I want you to say you dug this out in the cave. Remember, only hand the Stillwind Orb to the head of Ruby Sect. Don’t pass it to anyone else, commanded Jared.
“This is your magical item, though, Master. How can you give it to someone else?” Feenix was confused.
Thus, Jared explained, “I’m planning to use the Stillwind Orb to start a fight between Bulrush Sect and Ruby Sect. Once they’re occupied with each other, we’ll have a chance to extract Izolda and Kiara out of that place.”
In response, Feenix nodded and grabbed the Stillwind Orb.
Of course, Jared was aware of the Stillwind Orb’s value. With that magical item, he could grasp wind nascence with less effort. However, if he didn’t bet a remarkable magical item on his strategy, then Bulrush Sect and Ruby Sect wouldn’t start a fight over it.
Holding the Stillwind Orb, Feenix marched into the celestial ore mine.
At that moment, in a small cave beside the celestial ore mine, Anders Hendley, the head of Bulrush Sect, and Natasha Fuller, the head of Ruby Sect, had just finished their cultivation.
Though they were sweating, they were utterly satisfied.
“I treat you pretty well, don’t I, Ms. Fuller? Instead of hogging this celestial ore mine for myself, I called you over.” Anders grinned.
Natasha sneered, “Don’t make it sound so nice, Mr. Hendley. I bet it’s simply because you can’t extract all the ores in this massive mine and are afraid others will discover it. You needed help to deal with potential enemies, so you summoned me here. Don’t make yourself sound so noble. Our relationship is strictly business. I suggest you refrain from talking about feelings.”
In response, Anders revealed an awkward smile. “Nothing can escape your eyes, can it, Ms. Fuller? Still, I did discover the mine first and called you over. Hence, I hope you won’t fight with me over the amount of ores we each can keep.”
“Don’t worry. We’ll only keep forty percent of the ores, while you can have sixty percent. We won’t fight you over it,” spat Natasha with disdain.
“That’s good.” Anders smiled.
Just as they concluded their conversation, they suddenly heard people shouting outside their little cave.
