Feenix enlisted Catina’s help as she and Jared alone were not enough to save Izolda and Kiara from the hands of Bulrush Sect.
Faced with Feenix’s pleas, Catina nodded, saying, “Fine. I’ll do this for you, but I want a stake in the celestial ore mine too.”
“Deal!” Jared agreed readily. Without the help of someone as powerful as Catina, they would never be able to take over the celestial ore mine even if they somehow managed to rescue Izolda and Kiara.
Also, given the number of injuries they had suffered, they weren’t strong enough to protect everyone. This was on top of Jared’s concern that Pablo would find him anytime.
“Let’s go,” Catina said in response to Jared’s agreement. With that, Feenix led the two to the celestial ore mine, the three of them staying vigilant throughout the entire journey.
“We’re almost there,” Feenix said as she pointed up ahead. Right then, Jared could clearly sense a different aura.
“Let’s sneak in so that they don’t know we’re here,” Jared instructed, as their objective was to rescue their friends and not start a fight.
If their presence was detected, they would not only be put at a disadvantage but Izolda’s and Kiara’s lives could also be put in danger.
With that thought in mind, they hid their auras as they quietly approached the celestial ore mine.
Soon, the three of them arrived on a hill slope. When they looked into the horizon, they saw a cave in the mountains, with five to six cultivators patrolling its entrance.
“The celestial ore mine is inside that cave. When we found it by chance and tried to obtain some celestial ore, members of Bulrush Sect discovered our presence and began to attack us.”
Staring at the Bulrush Sect cultivators nearby, Feenix remarked through her gritted teeth, “If I hadn’t been exiled to the mundane world, I would have ripped them into shreds.”
“What? You were missing for the past few years because you were exiled?” Catina asked in shock.
After Feenix nodded in response, Catina was about to probe further when a convoy of people walked toward the cave.
“Quiet. Someone’s coming,” Jared quickly shushed the two.
The group comprised more than twenty people, all dressed in dark red and wearing hats. Even though their faces couldn’t be seen, it was clear that they belonged to the same sect.
“Ruby Sect?” Catina remarked with her brows furrowed.
“Ruby Sect? Does that mean they’re all women?” Jared exclaimed in surprise.
Catina nodded. “They are, indeed. Ruby Sect is constantly colluding with Bulrush Sect. Both their sects are constantly helping each other with the manipulation of negative and positive energy. Now that Bulrush Sect has found the celestial ore mine, I’m surprised that they have invited Ruby Sect over.”
Catina spoke with a gloomy expression. The mention of Ruby Sect had clearly upset her.
“Hmph, I’ve heard of their sect many years ago, and they are nothing but a bunch of sl*ts.”
Feenix spat at the ground in disgust.
“That said, their presence has complicated the situation. With so many of them, I’m afraid even the three of us are not enough to carry out the rescue,”
Frowning, Jared remarked, “I wonder how Izolda and Kiara are doing…”
Noticing the conflicted look on Jared’s face, Catina suggested, “Both of you, stay here. I’m going to get reinforcements. Just the three of us alone are too little for this task.”
Catina planned to seek help from the rest of the three kings and four archons. Only then would
they not have to fear Bulrush Sect and Ruby
Sect.
“Please hurry. If you’re too late, I fear for Izolda’s and Kiara’s fates…” Jared said to Catina.
“I know.” With that, she turned around and vanished without a trace.
