How can a lowly First Level Tribulator use teleportation magecraft twice in succession? This is ridiculous! Teleportation magecraft is a technique that drains its user significantly. It’s unbelievable how someone like Jared is able to use it twice.
Despite being baffled by the turn of events, Pablo didn’t let up in his pursuit of Jared.
In response, Jared fled as fast as he could, hoping that the spirit beast egg would get the watch to save him once more.
However, even when Pablo was practically on his heels, the spirit beast egg remained inactive, leaving Jared in a state of panic.
Dude, can you please use the watch one more time?
Jared begged in his mind as he stared at the spirit beast egg. Right then, due to either the spirit beast egg responding to Jared’s pleas or the fact that it had sensed the impending danger, the marks on its surface began to glow once again.
Filled with delight, Jared shifted his gaze to the watch, but this time, it didn’t appear as if it was about to move at all.
“F*ck, what is going on?”
While Jared was lost in bewilderment, Pablo’s terrifying aura grew increasingly close.
With the watch showing no signs of saving him, Jared had no choice but to unsheathe Dragonslayer Sword in preparation for a showdown with Pablo.
The moment he did that, a thunderous roar was heard, heralding tremors on the ground and clouds of dust being kicked into the air.
Stunned, both Jared and Pablo looked toward the source of the commotion. All they saw were thousands of roaring demon beasts stampeding toward them, a sight that left both men horrified.
As the horde was bearing down upon them, Pablo swiftly backed off, but Jared couldn’t do the same. By retreating, he would end up right in front of his enemy.
“D*mn it. I guess I don’t have a choice.” Dragonslayer Sword in hand, Jared covered himself with Golem Body, planning to slash his way out through the approaching horde.
Compared to taking Pablo on, facing the demon beasts was the easier option. Yet, right before Jared started cutting them down, the beasts instinctively avoided him, passing him by to charge at Pablo.
The fact that the hordes of beast didn’t attack him left Jared staring blankly at them. Upon regaining his senses, Jared quickly checked the spirit beast egg and noticed that it was glowing. Moreover, it seemed to be wiggling at him, as if to claim credit for saving Jared’s life.
It became clear to Jared that the demon beasts were summoned by the spirit beast egg, and it was also the reason why they didn’t attack him.
“Damn, what an amazing treasure!” Jared exclaimed as he stared at the spirit beast egg in delight. It’s already this powerful in egg form. I wonder how much stronger it will be when it hatches.
As Jared’s imagination began to run wild, his mind conjured up the scene of him roaming the Ethereal Realm on the back of a magnificent spirit beast, practically invincible.
Boom!
A sudden explosion knocked Jared back to his senses.
He was greeted by the sight of Pablo surrounded by a raging aura after letting out a roar. From amidst the air, a black aura swept down upon the demon beast horde, killing many of them in one fell swoop.
Pablo was outraged, for the demon beasts had circled around Jared and attacked him instead despite Jared clearly being the weaker one. Do they think I’m a pushover?
The sight of Pablo in a murderous rage caused Jared to flee as fast as he could with Wind Walk.
Pablo, in an attempt to give chase, was further frustrated by how relentlessly the horde of demon beasts were charging at him, a fact that triggered a furious roar from him.
Nevertheless, Jared couldn’t be bothered and ran as fast as his legs could carry him.
After some time, Jared could no longer sense Pablo’s aura around, even with his spiritual sense. Only then did he heave a sigh of relief.
