Meanwhile, things at Emerald Cauldron Sect. went back to normal after Hosen’s death. Jared was waiting for Feenix to return. If Feenix really brought Beast King of the beast race over, then conflict would definitely be unavoidable.
No one had expected Norwal City to fall that quickly. With Yuven ruling over two cities at the same time, the other cities would surely get jealous and try to make a move.
As such, Jared had to wait and see if the other kings would make a move. If that were the case, he could join forces with Yuven to back the latter up.
Things would be rough for Yuven if he were on his own, but he had nothing to fear with Jared on his side.
“Mr. Chance, King Yuven is here…” said Sigurd as he entered Jared’s room. Jared figured Feenix must have returned if Yuven was back, so he quickly headed over to Emerald Cauldron Sect with Sigurd.
Upon entering the main hall, he saw Yuven and Feenix chatting with Viola.
“Master!” Feenix ran up to Jared the moment she spotted him.
“Hey, Feenix! Did you bring our backup?” Jared asked. Feenix shook her head. “Those from the beast race weren’t home. It’s possible that they have all headed over to Demonia Mountain. I saw a lot of people going there on my way back. From what I’ve heard, a new celestial battleground. had been discovered there. Since no one has been there, that place is bound to be full of magical items.”
Jared’s eyes lit up the moment he heard that. “Demonia Mountain? A new celestial battleground?”
Montane Daemon is in Demonia Mountain. On top of that, Dalton and Rosetta’s Blood Spirit Valley are nearby as well! I’ve been intending to make a trip to Demonia Mountain myself. Who would’ve thought someone would discover a new celestial battleground in Demonia Mountain, eh?
Just thinking about the draconic energy he got from Night Sea and the Celestial Battle got Jared all fired up. Maybe I’ll make some new discoveries at this celestial battleground!
Yuven knew what Jared was up to when he saw the latter’s expression. “Demonia Mountain is in the southern region, Mr. Chance. It’s a few hundred thousand miles away, and you’d have to go through the central region to get there. It’s going to be a very dangerous trip.”
“We have an airship, so the distance isn’t a problem. Besides, I’ve been wanting to visit Demonia Mountain anyway,” Jared replied.
“Are you really going to Demonia Mountain, Master?” Feenix asked.
“Of course! Had you not brought me this piece of information, I would probably head there much later. Right now, however, I can barely wait any longer! I want to head over right away!” Jared said excitedly while rubbing his palms together.
“Even if we use the airship, it’d still take us about two weeks to get there, Mr. Chance,” Yuven said.
“We could use a Teleportation Array, so getting there won’t be a problem. It’ll just cost us spirit coins, that’s all,” Feenix suggested.
“That’s a great idea. Since there isn’t anything going on with Imperial Beast City and Emerald Cauldron Sect, I’ll head out right now!” Jared said and had Sigurd summon Quinley and Aislin
He couldn’t bring those two with him as they were still too weak at the moment. He needed them to strengthen themselves as quickly as possible, so it would be safer to have them remain at Emerald Cauldron Sect or Imperial Beast City.
“I can understand why you won’t let anyone else go with you, but why won’t you let me come along either, Master? I know Ethereal Realm like the back of my hand! Won’t you need a guide to show you the way?” Feenix asked with a pout.
Cloud may know Ethereal Realm very well, but he’s only familiar with the northern region. I doubt he’d know much outside of the northern region, so I could indeed use a guide.
With that in mind, Jared nodded and said, “All right, then. You can come with me. Everyone else, stay here at Emerald Cauldron Sect and continue your training. We’ll be able to go on adventures together once you’re all strong enough.”
