A Man Like None Other Chapter 3183

“I can’t believe it. He possesses a marked aura, too? Is he also a member of Hadad’s lineage?” Lucian was taken aback.

“No.” Remus shook his head. “While he has a marked aura, he isn’t part of Hadad’s lineage. That’s something I’m certain of.”

“What is this person’s name?”

“I believe he’s known as Jared Chance.”

“Jared Chance?” Lucian momentarily fell into deep thought before remarking, “I think I heard Xandros mentioning that name before. Anyway, does he have any demands after abducting Xandros?”

“Yes. Jared said that if you wish Xandros to be returned to you, you have to deliver him the Divine Bow.”

Lucian’s body visibly jerked when he heard that. Then, he stared outside the tent cautiously. Seeing that there was no one around, he relaxed a little.

No one else knew he possessed the Divine Bow, yet, for some reason, Jared did. Remus was slightly surprised to witness Lucian’s reaction. “Is the Divine Bow really in your possession, King Lucian?”

Wordlessly, Lucian waved his hand, and a light flashed in the air. Suddenly, a red wooden box appeared. Once the box’s lid was removed, Remus saw the Divine Bow resting within.

Lucian had been carrying the weapon by his side but kept it in the void to prevent anyone from stealing it. Remus’ eyes sparkled when he saw the Divine Bow. Lucian reached his hand into the box and pulled out the weapon.

“Strange. How does Jared know I have the Divine Bow?” muttered Lucian. Remus inquired, “Is it possible that someone close to you leaked the news, King Lucian?”

“No. No one knows I have the Divine Bow, not even Xandros.” Lucian shook his head.

“In any case, we shouldn’t be discussing how Jared knows about this, King Lucian. We should. be focusing our attention on how to save Mr. Xandros right now.”

“I don’t think it’s worth exchanging the Divine Bow for Xandros, to be honest.” In Lucian’s eyes, the Divine Bow was worth far more than his useless son.

After all, Xandros would often cause trouble and spent all his time with women. Upon hearing that, Remus felt a little speechless.

Then he asked, “I heard the Divine Bow requires an enormous amount of energy to be used, King Lucian. I wonder, can you actually utilize it?”

Lucian shook his head. “I tried many times before, but the string refused to move. If I could wield it, I wouldn’t have hid it. In fact, I would’ve used it to shoot any troublemakers.”

Seeing that Lucian couldn’t even use the Divine Bow, Remus suggested, “In that case, why not exchange it for Mr. Xandros? After all, a weapon you cannot utilize is as good as a piece of junk. If someone like you can’t even pull the string, then I doubt anyone in the city could. Besides, when you invade Imperial Beast City, it’ll fall back into your hands all the same.”

In response, Lucian nodded in agreement. “Your logic is sound, Mr. Quayle. Very well, then. I will hand over the Divine Bow to Jared tomorrow to retrieve Xandros. Once my son has been returned to me safely, we’ll launch our assault on Imperial Beast City. I will kill everyone in that city!”

Murderous intent swirled in Lucian’s eyes, causing Remus’ body to tremble when he detected it. He knew Lucian would ensure that objective was achieved because the latter was a cruel and ruthless man.

After the invasion, the streets of Imperial Beast City would no doubt be covered in dead bodies and blood.

In response to seeing Remus’ reaction, Lucian smiled. “Your cultivation will benefit from my massacre of all citizens in Imperial Beast City, you know. Aren’t you happy you’ll have countless souls to refine?”

“Of course, King Lucian. Of course.” Remus squeezed out a smile.
