Sure enough, this technique had successfully deceived the silverfeather hawk as it charged straight at the blood figure.
With a loud noise, the blood figure exploded. A bloody mist floated above its head, spreading to the surrounding area. The silverfeather hawk was thrust straight into the mist, which turned its silver feathers a blood red.
The now-bloodied silverfeather hawk looked even more terrifying than before. Many cultivators began to tremble in fear when they smelled the metallic scent of blood and saw how horrifying that creature looked.
However, the silverfeather hawk did not attack anyone else. Its sole target seemed to be Zordey. After getting itself drenched in blood, the silverfeather hawk then swept into a faintly red blood pool before disappearing in an instant.
“Why is this demon beast only attacking Zordey?”
Cloud could not understand what he was seeing. Montane Daemon seemed to realize something and gave Cloud a faint smile in return. “I think this creature has sniffed out Zordey’s life- preserving techniques. That’s why it only targeted Zordey. Haven’t you noticed how it deliberately flew into the blood mist? After getting drenched in blood, it then went straight for the spirit spring. I think there’s something in that spirit spring.”
Cloud smiled when he heard this. The Zupakie family’s life-preservation technique is strange indeed. Now, it has turned into an open target for the demon beast. I reckon Zordey isn’t happy about this at all.
After the demon beast plunged headlong into the spirit spring, the once-shriveled body of Zordey then slowly stood up. He seemed much older, and his breathing was weak, but his life had been preserved nonetheless.
“Darn it! Why did it attack me alone?” hissed Zordey through gritted teeth. He was enraged by this. Many of the onlookers could not help but laugh in secret when they saw this, but more people had started to worry as well.
If there were more than one of these demon beasts here, then they were effectively trapped and could only await their deaths. They had come to seek treasure but found nothing. Instead, they only ended up risking their lives.
Right now, Jared was absorbing all the energy from the giant egg. Yet, he seemed unaware that his body appeared translucent as if it could disappear at any time.
The shell of the giant egg had started to turn transparent until Jared could finally see that the dome itself seemed to be a chaotic world that was slowly becoming more visible. Jared could also see that the albumen and the yolk had a clear distinction.
In the egg yolk area, a blurry, shadowy figure was floating inside. Eight looming energy chains surrounded the figure, effectively binding it, yet they were also continuously siphoning energy from the giant egg toward the figure.
Soon, the figure became clearer and clearer until Jared was surprised to see that the figure in the giant egg was none other than himself.
Jared was absolutely horrified. He instinctively wanted to look at the middle-aged man to ask him what was going on. However, as soon as he turned his head, he felt everything go dark. When he opened his eyes, he found himself inside the giant egg.
He seemed to be imprisoned as if he was being trapped inside a cage. Jared panicked and began to struggle. Don’t move. The fusion will be complete soon. If you struggle, this process will fail!
The middle-aged man’s voice sounded in Jared’s mind. When Jared heard this, he immediately stopped moving and stayed very still, feeling the constant influx of energy into his body.Just then, Jared’s Golem Body activated itself, covering him with golden scales.
The liquid in the giant egg wrapped itself around Jared’s body, causing Jared to undergo changes. His Golem Body had become even more resplendent as a result.
Right now, Jared felt extremely at ease, like a baby lying in his mother’s arms.
However, Jared then realized that he needed to break out of the giant egg eventually, and he found the thought of it quite outrageous.
