The crowd swiftly redirected their attention, only to find that the person who spoke was none other than Typhon.
Typhon approached Cameron with a smile and said, “Mr. Nesser, isn’t it rather embarrassing for the head of the family like you to be humiliated by a group of wandering cultivators? If word of this got out, it could severely tarnish the reputation of the Nesser family. Let me assist you. With both of our combat abilities, I’m confident the wandering cultivators won’t pose a threat.”
Jared’s expression immediately darkened as Typhon opted to collaborate with Cameron. He regretted not finding an excuse to get rid of Typhon right from the start.
If Typhon were to work with Cameron, our chances of winning would be slim. We are not the rightful opponents of two cultivators at Ninth Level Body Fusion Realm.
While Cameron was still in a quandary, Typhon had taken the initiative to join forces with him. Of course, Cameron was more than willing to accept the offer. Otherwise, he would really be intimidated by the wandering cultivators.
“This is the best outcome. With our collaboration, this entire area will be under our control. The wandering cultivators won’t be able to claim any of it, be it Flamestones or demon beast.”
With Typhon backing him up, Cameron grew arrogant. Now, he wanted to bar all the wandering cultivators from gaining access to any part of the entire area.
Nobody dared to refute him this time because none of them could defeat two Ninth Level Body Fusion Realm cultivators.
Upon seeing Cameron’s acceptance of the offer, Typhon chuckled. He then directed his cold gaze at Jared. “Kid, do you still think I’m an easy target? Hand over the Flamestones immediately, or I’ll make you regret this.”
Typhon had been holding a grudge against Jared and the others for threatening him to surrender the Flamestone.
As a member of the Demon Seal Alliance, he had never suffered such mistreatment in his entire life, for they could always do as they pleased. Typhon was determined to vent his frustration and reclaim his dignity.
“It’s with me, but why should I give it to you?” asked Jared coldly.
“Why should you?” Typhon snorted. “Because I’m simply more powerful than you, and this is a realistic world! Superiority is everything.”
“How are you more powerful than me? From what I see, your metallic cultivation technique won’t give you an advantage in a place as scorching as this fiery furnace.”
Jared had learned that Typhon was practicing a metallic cultivation technique. However, the entire area, including the fire lizard and Flamestone, was of the fire element.
Since the element of fire was known to weaken the element of metal, that place would hinder Typhon from unleashing his full potential.
“Even if my capabilities are restrained, it’s still a piece of cake for me to kill a Fourth Level Body Fusion Realm cultivator like you.”
As soon as Typhon said that, he struck Jared with his palm. The latter reacted swiftly and took a step backward. Next, he leaped to his feet and avoided Typhon’s attack.
When Cloud, Sunny, and the others saw that, they immediately prepared for battle. Right then, Cameron shouted, “Don’t blame me for what I’ll do if any of you dare to intervene!”
His warning prevented anyone from joining the fight, and no one dared to assist Jared. Truth be told, Jared had known that Typhon had chosen to become Cameron’s ally not to support Cameron but to confront him directly.
Cameron, too, was aware of that. However, he still went ahead to join forces with Typhon. After all, the enemy of one’s enemy is a friend.
“You guys don’t act recklessly. He’s just a Ninth Level Body Fusion Realm cultivator. Watch and see how I deal with him,” Jared yelled.
He did not slow down as he continued to run away. Fighting someone at Ninth Level Body Fusion Realm was a challenge for him, but he would not be defeated so easily.
Since Typhon underestimated Jared’s capabilities, the latter could take advantage of that to catch him unprepared and gain the upper hand in the battle.
