Chapter 2883 Do It Now
At that moment, countless demon beasts had closed the gap and reached Jared. With one swing of Dragonslayer Sword, Jared created an explosion in the air with sword energy and demonic fire.
The explosion created a sea of demonic fire that consumed the demon beasts around him, but the ice bear continued to command the others and had them charge at Jared.
Jared kept backing away, successfully luring the demon beasts toward him. Waves of terrifying aura filled the area as the demon beasts all charged at Jared.
Jared slashed at the demon beasts while running, but the ice bear stood its ground near the ice soul fragment and refused to budge.
The Three Bandits were unable to make their move at all. Jared knew that he had to lure the ice bear toward him for them to steal the ice soul fragment.
“Nine Shadows!” Jared shouted as he activated Nine Shadows, causing six of his shadow clones to appear and attack the demon beasts. He simultaneously whipped out Octo Ruler, which he had planned on giving to Josephine. Given the ridiculously huge number of demon beasts he was up against, Jared had no choice but to use it.
The gemstone on Octo Ruler glowed brightly as it released all the demon beasts within. As ferocious as those demon beasts were, their strength was still leagues behind that of the demon beasts in the canyon.
Even so, Jared needed to lure the ice bear into coming after him, so he had no choice but to use everything he had at his disposal.
Although Jared had used Nine Shadows and Octo Ruler, the ice bear still refused to leave its spot. It simply sat there and watched as the demon beasts died one after another. Jared was starting to panic when he saw that. Oh, no! My plan will fail if that ice bear doesn’t budge!
“If only I had Divine Bow with me right now… I’d have shot all of you f*ckers dead!” Jared exclaimed as he continued fighting the demon beasts off.
After killing lots of them, Jared let out a helpless sigh and activated his draconic essence, causing a bright light to shine from it.
Dragonslayer Sword hissed loudly as a golden dragon slowly appeared behind Jared. The golden dragon was stepping on demonic fire as it let out a majestic roar that echoed throughout the canyon.
The demon beasts that were busy attacking Jared just moments ago froze in shock when they felt the golden dragon’s aura.
They all had fear in their eyes as they started backing away from it. The ice bear that had sat there the whole time roared as well when it saw what happened. It leaped to its feet and lunged straight at Jared.
Jared quickly backed away in response and had his shadow clones block the ice bear’s path. Seeing the ice bear attack prompted the retreating demon beasts to join in as well.
“Do it now!” Jared yelled at the top of his voice and leaped backward rapidly as he sent the golden dragon toward the demon beasts.
Of course, that command was directed at the Three Bandits. While Jared was busy fighting the demon beasts, the Three Bandits made their move.
They approached the ice soul fragment from three different directions, disappearing and reappearing closer to it with each passing second.
As though it could detect them approaching the ice soul fragment, the ice bear turned around and roared when it saw the Three Bandits. It let out a furious roar and charged at them.
Jared had wanted to stop the ice bear, but he had his hands tied with the huge amount of demon beasts around him. He could only hope that the Three Bandits would be able to beat the ice bear to the ice soul fragment.
Right as the ice bear closed in on the Three Bandits, Salazar managed to snag the ice soul fragment.
