Perceiving Quinley’s hesitation, Jared snorted coldly and threatened, “I’m no gentleman. If you don’t hand the ice soul fragment over, I don’t mind outright snatching it from you. At that time, that isn’t the only thing you’ll lose. You might even suffer the loss of your innocence.”
At his words, Quinley’s face went as black as thunder. In the end, she begrudgingly handed the ice soul fragment to him.

He gave her half of the ice soul fragment. Shock inundated Quinley, for she had never expected such a kind person to exist in the Ethereal Realm.
The ice soul fragment is already in his hands, yet he’s sharing it with me? Even if he hadn’t done so, there’d be nothing I could do about it since my capabilities are inferior to his. With me beneath him, I could’ve only resigned myself to my fate. On top of that, I owe him my life.
“You’re really something else.” Taking that half of the ice soul fragment, she crushed it without warning. In a flash, an intense burst of spiritual energy surrounded her.
She activated her technique and absorbed the spiritual energy right away. On the heels of that, a ray of light shot out from her body. Like a cannonball, it detonated in mid-air, setting off a beautiful burst of fireworks.

“The spiritual energy within the ice soul fragment is different from that in the Ethereal Realm. Instead of spiritual energy, it’s far more apt to term it as celestial energy. The reason this land became such a freezing cold place is that a piece of ice soul fell from the celestial realm many years ago. In the end, the ice soul exploded. The fragments were scattered across this land, thereby forming such a wintry place. The energy within this ice soul fragment is likely celestial energy from the celestial realm. But no one knows what celestial energy is like, so this is just a conjecture.”
Quinley explained the ice soul fragment’s origin to the man. It would seem that she trusted him to a certain extent since she was telling him all that. Following her elaboration, realization promptly dawned upon Jared.

“Who’s Jerison to you?” Jared asked upon recalling Jerison, whom he beat up in the arena. “He’s my younger brother. How do you know him?” Quinley questioned in curiosity.
“Oh, I met him in Jipsdale,” Jared replied.
“Ah, they went to Jipsdale? No wonder I didn’t see him and Kaison at home recently. They secretly went there to have fun, huh? I’ll definitely settle the score with them when I get home! Anyway, you should hurry up and absorb this ice soul fragment. It’ll be a ticking time bomb if you keep it, and it might even get snatched away,” Quinley urged.
