Chapter 2866 Ice Soul Fragment
“How about it? Would you like to work together?” Beau asked, his eyes wide with anticipation.
“I’m afraid I’m not searching for any treasure, so there’s no way for us to work together,” Jared replied impassively. “However, you better not flaunt the item in your possession to others. Otherwise, you won’t even know what killed you.”
Beau was stunned. He had never expected that even after revealing the key to the treasure, Jared would refuse to work together. Jared led Vasily and the others away, leaving Beau standing still with a frown.
“What an odd fellow,” Beau muttered before he departed himself. Jared refused to work with Beau because he did not know Beau’s true nature. In Ethereal Realm, Jared would not easily trust a stranger.
Moreover, his primary concern at the moment was not finding the treasure. He wanted to visit the Archaic Body cultivators. Right now, he still had no knowledge about the treasure of the Archaic Body Cultivation clan, and digging it up hastily could be perilous.
Not long after Jared and his group began their journey, a desperate cry for help came from Crixus of the Three Bandits in the void.
“Mr. Chance, help us…”
Jared’s brows knitted together when he heard that.
“You guys go on ahead. I’ll go take a look.” Jared leaped into the air and vanished, following the sound wave of the communication device.
Jared had sent the Three Bandits to find Josephine and the others, and they were not far from him. Soon, Jared found the three of them.
Their faces were pale. They were clearly injured. Before them stood a young girl dressed in a white bearskin coat. She was holding a long sword, her eyes cold. Frozen fresh, crimson blood stained the sword.
“What happened?” Jared frowned.
“Mr. Chance, you asked us to look for the three girls, so we searched everywhere. We came across this girl and wanted to ask if she was one of those you were looking for, but she began attacking us without reason, and despite our best efforts, we were hurt by her. She even wanted to kill us!” Crixus said aggrievedly.
Jared narrowed his eyes at the girl, noticing that she was at Fifth Level Body Fusion Realm. Given her age. it was no small feat.
“Who are you? Why did you attack my people? I don’t think they messed with you, did they?” Jared asked with a grim look on his face.
The girl pointed her sword at Jared. “Quit playing innocent. I know you guys are after the ice soul fragment. I found them first, so don’t even think about taking them from me. You’re only at Second Level Body Fusion Realm. Even if all of you join forces, you are no match for me, so I advise that you leave right away.”
The girl emanated waves of murderous intent as if wanting to scare off Jared and the others with her aura. The Three Bandits took a few steps backward when they sensed the murderous intent, but Jared remained unperturbed. To him, her threats were like the whispers of a gentle breeze.
The girl’s brows furrowed deeply when she noticed that Jared was seemingly unfazed by her intense aura.
Jared was only at Second Level Body Fusion Realm, and yet he was calm and collected in the face of her oppressive aura. It only served to prove that his strength must have exceeded expectations. Perhaps he had even concealed his true capability.
“Ice soul fragment?” Jared’s eyes widened in surprise. “I think you’re mistaken. We know nothing of an ice soul fragment. We’re here merely to find someone. You’re gravely wounded and should stop holding on. If you don’t accept treatment now, I fear you won’t last long.”
