Chapter 2863 A Familiar Aura
“Mr. Chance, at our current speed, we’ll reach our clan in about three days. However, on this journey, it’s best not to encounter anyone, especially those from the Tall family. Otherwise, things will get complicated,” Vasily said to Jared.
After a night’s rest, Jared and his group resumed their journey. As they were cultivators, the harsh weather and snow didn’t hinder their progress.
“Let’s stick to the inconspicuous paths to avoid trouble,” Jared suggested. He was well aware that many people came to this place in search of the treasure. If they were to encounter enemies, it could lead to trouble.
As they traveled, they came across a cave, the one where Josephine and the others had taken shelter the day before. Just as he passed by the cave, Jared suddenly stopped in his tracks and looked inside the cave in a daze.
“Jared, what’s going on?” Viola asked. Jared didn’t respond immediately. He walked toward the cave entrance. The rest of the group followed, intrigued by his actions.
Upon entering the cave, they found it empty, devoid of any signs of life. “Mr. Chance, what are you searching for?” Vasily’s curiosity got the better of him.
“There’s a familiar aura here. They were here.”
Jared’s emotions were evident on his face.
“Who? Who were here?” Viola asked. Jared remained silent. He placed his hands gently against the cave wall, feeling the familiar aura that he hadn’t felt for a long time.
Unbeknownst to him, tears began rolling down his cheeks. Ever since his arrival in Ethereal Realm, Jared had never given up on searching for Josephine and the others.
In this vast realm, finding them seemed nearly impossible. However, for the first time, Jared had felt Josephine’s and Feenix’s auras. He recognized them intimately.
Looking at him being emotional, Viola instantly knew who those individuals he was referring to. She stepped forward and wiped his tears away. “Jared, are you talking about those girls?”
Viola knew Jared’s girlfriend was also in Ethereal Realm, but they had been separated. Jared had told her everything. After all, they were already sexually involved, so there was nothing to hide from each other.
However, Viola didn’t mind. She was happy to be one of his many women. “Jared, if you can sense their auras here, it means they must have been here recently. Maybe if we search around, we can find them,” Viola said.
At the side, Vasily remained perplexed, unable to grasp why Jared was crying, and even more puzzled by Viola’s encouragement to search for these girls. Vasily could discern the special connection between Jared and Viola. The two must be a couple.
However, how could anyone possibly encourage their boyfriend to search for other girls?
“The Three Bandits…” Jared called out.
“Mr. Chance, how can we help?” They promptly stepped forward.
“Search the areas nearby. If you find those girls, ask for their names and report back to me immediately,” Jared instructed.
“Understood!” The Three Bandits acknowledged the order and departed swiftly. After spending a bit more time in the cave, Jared finally left. He knew that staying there was not an option. They still needed to find the treasure.
Josephine, Feenix, where are you? Please be safe!
Jared prayed that they would not be in danger. However, his sensing their auras in the cave indicated that they were alive and not in immediate danger.
