Two days later, Hosen returned to Emerald Cauldron Sect. When he saw the base in a complete mess, he almost exploded with rage.
“What happened? What exactly happened here? Can someone explain it to me?” he questioned loudly while standing at the entrance of Emerald Cauldron Sect’s inner court.
All the disciples lowered their heads, none daring to speak. Even Sigurd appeared anxious. Now that Hosen had come back, Sigurd didn’t know how he should explain Jared’s matters to his master.
“Sigurd, tell me. What the h*ll happened here?” Hosen inquired Sigurd. “Master, this is the result of a fight that broke out between Mr. Samoll and Mr. Erdell’s disciples, Sigurd told the truth.
“What?” After hearing that, Hosen grew more furious. “This is outrageous! According to Emerald Cauldron Sect’s rules, our disciples are not allowed to fight each other, let alone within the inner court. Now, not only did they exchange blows, but they have also destroyed so many buildings. It seems that I must teach them a lesson. Bring Ghaylen and Ebenez here. I demand an explanation from both of them. Otherwise, neither of them will get away with it!”
Hosen was beside himself with rage. After all, he was Emerald Cauldron Sect’s leader at that moment. Breaking the sect’s rules was no different from disrespecting him, which was something he wouldn’t allow to happen.
No matter who it was, as long as they dared to threaten his authority, Hosen wouldn’t show them any mercy. It was precisely his ruthlessness and iron-fisted approach that made Hosen highly revered in Emerald Cauldron Sect.
Sigurd nodded, then hastily ran toward Ghaylen’s dwelling. He wanted to inform Jared that Hosen had returned so that Jared could brace himself. After all, Jared had a conflict with Hosen. If Hosen insisted on dealing with Jared, the situation would turn ugly.
“Why are you here, Sigurd?” Zebediah asked at once when he saw Sigurd. Sigurd had been very kind to Ghaylen’s disciples during that period, so Zebediah and the others no longer regarded Sigurd with enmity.
“Is Mr. Chance here? I have something urgent to talk to him about!” Sigurd replied. “Yes, he’s here. Mr. Chance is discussing medical skills with Master inside the room,” Zebediah responded.
Not wasting time to speak further, Sigurd rushed into the room. “Mr. Chance, bad news. My master is back!” Sigurd uttered nervously after meeting with Jared.
Ghaylen was unaware of the discord between Jared and Hosen, so he asked in bafflement, “Sigurd, what’s the big deal about Hosen coming back? Why are you in such a panic? Besides, what does your master’s return have to do with Mr. Chance?”
“Mr. Samoll, I have some friction with Hosen, so Sigurd is worried his master may take action against me,” Jared briefly recounted his conflict with Hosen to Ghaylen.
Upon hearing that, Ghaylen immediately laughed. “This is nothing. You’re nominally my disciple now and a member of Emerald Cauldron Sect. Hosen won’t do anything to harm you because of this slight disagreement. If he dares to try anything, I’ll object. I believe. he’ll still grant me this favor.”
Jared was a little relieved after hearing Ghaylen’s reassurance. He didn’t want to have a falling out with Hosen at that critical juncture either, as that would affect the opening of the. medicinal pool.
Besides, they would have to deal with Hosen sooner or later since Viola had regained consciousness and would eventually expose Hosen’s crimes. Sigurd turned to Ghaylen and said, “Mr. Samoll, my master instructed me to invite you over.”
“All right. I’ll be right over.” Ghaylen bobbed his head. “Please practice extra caution, Mr. Chance,” Sigurd reminded Jared before turning around and leaving.
“Mr. Samoll, I’ll tag along with you. This meeting with Hosen is inevitable, and I’ll have to face it in time.” Jared decided to go with Ghaylen to see Hosen.
