A Man Like None Other Chapter 2530

“Master has sent me to inform you that a stalk of Grus Divina has sprouted on the mountains nearby. Prepare extra hands. Tomorrow you shall accompany me to the mountains to harvest it,” said the man dressed in a robe.

“There’s Grus Divina nearby?” Brutus exclaimed. “That’s a mystical herb. How can it grow on these mountains? Are you certain there’s no mistake?”

“What did you say?” The man in a robe widened his eyes. “I simply spoke in haste. I do not doubt Master in the slightest, but gathering extra help on such short notice is a challenge.” Brutus found himself trapped between a rock and a hard place.

“That is your problem,” the man retorted. “I’m only in charge of notifying you. You should know the consequences of wasting time and not following Master’s instructions, right?”

He turned on his heel and strode away, leaving Brutus frowning and fretting about manpower. But soon, Brutus thought of a solution and ordered his apprentice, “Go fetch the four people who just left here!”

He wanted to get Jared and his companions. Now that they were in need of his assistance, he could enlist their help to pick the Grus Divina, and he would help Ernily cure her grandmother’s eyes.

“Emily, don’t worry,” All comforted the downtrodden girl. “Once we’ve hunted a few more demon beasts and sold them, we will have the money to treat your grandmother’s eyes.”

Emily remained silent, unable to shake off the guilt of keeping the money for herself, knowing others needed the money to sustain themselves too.

“Emily, I might be able to cure your grandma’s. eyes even without the money,” Jared assured her, his voice gentle yet firm. “If we can find some high-grade spiritual plants, I might be able to restore her sight.”

If Jared regained his power and had spiritual plants, he might be able to cure Emily’s grandmother’s eyes. “Really, Jared?” Emily lifted her head, her eyes. brimming with hope.

“Of course.” Jared smiled. A smile bloomed on Emily’s face. As long as there was hope, she would never give up. At that moment, a young child, no older than a teen, rushed toward them. “Please wait! My master has asked you guys to return.”

“Who is your master?” Jared asked, puzzled.

“My master is Brutus Weiss!”

Hearing this, Ali asked curiously. “Why does your master want us to return?” The child shook his head. “I don’t know. He didn’t mention it.” “Ali, Jared, let’s go back and take a look,” Emily suggested, her heart fluttering with anticipation. “Perhaps Dr. Weiss has changed his mind about fifty spirit coins!”

“All right, let’s go back,” Jared agreed, and the group retraced their steps. Gone was Brutus’ haughty demeanor. This time, he was obviously more amiable.

“Dr. Weiss, have you decided to treat my grandma’s eyes for fifty spirit coins?” Emily asked, her voice tremulous with hope. Brutus shook his head. “Fifty spirit coins won’t suffice, but I’ll treat her eyes for free if you agree to my one condition.”

“What is it?” Emily asked. “You guys have to accompany me to the mountains tomorrow to harvest an herb. Once we’ve successfully get the herb, I can cure your I grandma’s eyes for free.”

“Is that all?” Emily couldn’t believe how simple the condition was. She turned to look at Ali. After all, she couldn’t decide for them. If Ali refused to go, she couldn’t force him to tag along.
