“Dragonslayer Sword… It is the Dragonslayer Sword… Guys, look!” shouted the elderly man.. Immediately, the other three similar-looking elders glanced over in surprise.
“Misters, if you guys are the elders of Divine Smithing Sect, why are you locked up here? What happened?” Jared asked.
“Did Hammerhead not tell you our sect was ambushed and eliminated by Fire Incineration Sect? They captured our leader, including us, the higher-ups. Our leader is locked up in a different cell. We’ve been here for over ten years,” explained the elderly man.
“How did you guys get locked up here? This is the mundane world, after all, not the Ethereal Realm. You’re in the secret realm of Evil Heart Sect.”
Jared was confounded. They should be locked up in Fire Incineration Sect. Why are they here in the secret realm of Evil Heart Sect in the mundane world? This is ridiculous.
“What? This is the mundane world? What’s Evil Heart Sect, anyway? We’ve never heard of it,” said the elderly man in puzzlement. That threw Jared off even more. It looks like these elders of Divine Smithing Sect have no idea where they are.
“Let’s talk about that later. Since you guys are
the elders of Divine Smithing Sect, I believe we have some kind of destiny with each other. Let me help you out first,” informed Jared while he approached the elderly man.
“Stop. Don’t move. We’re restrained by arcane arrays here. You could get injured,” said the elderly man in a hurry.
Even so, Jared did not do as told; he continued making his way toward the elderly man. Immediately, a light barrier formed around the latter, encasing him in it.
At that, Jared tapped the barrier lightly, creating. halo-like ripples on the barrier that spread from the tip of his finger. A dazzling golden beam shot out of the tip of his finger. Simultaneously, the arcane array tore apart like a piece of cloth, revealing a hole before it disappeared for good.
The elderly man gaped at Jared in shock. Never did the former expect a young man like Jared to destroy an arcane array like it was a piece of cake.
Likewise, the other elders were so shocked that their jaws dropped. “Sir, will cutting off these chains free all of you?” asked Jared.
The elderly man nodded. “Yes. We’ll be free once you cut them off. Don’t be fooled by their appearance, though. They’re made of tungsten. carbide, which is an incredibly strong material. Besides-
Before the elderly man could finish, Jared. swung his weapon and cut the chain into two sections. As the chains fell away from the elderly man’s body, blood began flowing out of the wound. The man was not the slightest bit bothered by it. Instead, he was excited. “I’m free. Hahaha! I’m free!”
Meanwhile, Jared proceeded to free the other three in the same way. “Young man, we’re actually quadruplets, and I’m the eldest among them. We’re really grateful to you. If not for you, we might never see the sun anymore. Please accept our gratitude.”
With that, all four elders got to their knees, but they were stopped by Jared.
“Misters, I have a close relationship with Divine Smithing Sect. In fact, Master Hammerhead is currently recruiting men for the sect to rebuild it. If you go back now, Divine Smithing Sect will. definitely return to its former glory,” said Jared.
“What was that thing you said about the mundane world and Evil Heart Sect? We don’t recall leaving Ethereal Realm. Is this not Fire Incineration Sect’s dungeon?” asked the elderly man.
“It’s a long story. I’ll tell you all about it when we get out. I need to free someone at the third level now. We can talk more when I’ve done that.”
Jared had no time to explain everything in detail.
