Meanwhile, at Evil Heart Sect, Jared had recomposed himself. Countless rays of golden light flashed past his mind, allowing his spiritual sense to return to its normal state.
At the same time, the scenery before him returned to its original state. The sight of Jared. calming down sent a rush of relief into Malphas’ heart.
“Jared… Jared…” Malphas called out. “Let’s go,” Jared prompted as he marched forward. Just like that, he had destroyed the second arcane array.
Watching Jared from the back, Malphas could not help but swallow hard. Thank goodness! didn’t fight him head-on. If not, I would’ve died a horrible death long ago. Malphas took a few hurried steps so he could lead the way for Jared.
Soon, the dungeon’s entrance appeared before them. A light barrier flickered in front of it, blocking the path into the dungeon.
Malphas explained, “This is the third arcane. array. You’ll be able to enter the dungeon after this, but I’m not qualified to go in. There are other people guarding on the inside.”
Jared merely nodded, walked up to the light barrier, and touched it gently with one hand. Shutting his eyes, Jared allowed the spiritual sense in his mind spread throughout the arcane array. Soon enough, he found the core.
In just a matter of a few minutes, the light barrier before them disappeared. Jared had destroyed the third arcane array.
Malphas was too stunned to speak. All he could do was watch Jared walk into the dungeon. Malphas was about to warn Jared about something when the doors opened, and out walked a monster with the head of a bull and the body of a man.
The scene was so shocking that Malphas stood frozen on the spot. He never knew there were such creatures in the dungeon. After all, he had never been in there. Even Jared was shocked too seeing the minotaur.
“How dare you barge into Evil Heart Sect? Are you asking for death?” the minotaur questioned sternly in human language.
A frown formed between Jared’s brows as he poured his spiritual sense into the minotaur, only to be shocked by the latter’s aura.
The aura exuded by the beast was drastically, different from the disciples of Evil Heart Sect. In fact, it was different from those of the mundane world.
That aura seemed to come from someone in the Ethereal Realm instead. Jared sensed it on the armored beast before. However, that minotaur’s aura was stronger than that of the armored beast.
Although the armored beast could speak the human language, it still had the form of a spirit beast. The minotaur, however, was already half- human. From the looks of it, it would soon become human completely..
Thus, it only made sense that the minotaur had a stronger aura than the armored beast. “You’re not a demon beast from the mundane world. You’re from the Ethereal Realm, aren’t you?” asked Jared.
After all, no demon beasts from the mundane world could transform into humans yet, let alone speak the language of humans. It was considered good enough if they were sentient and could understand the human language.
Feenix was a different case. She was never a spirit beast from the mundane world but at phoenix spirit beast from the Ethereal Realm that was exiled to the mundane world.
The minotaur was taken aback by the question, but it quickly recollected itself and roared, “What are you talking about? I don’t know what you’re saying. You deserve to die for barging. into Evil Heart Sect.”
It let out a furious roar before bringing down a huge axe on Jared. Jared did not bother to dodge the attack. His body emitted a golden light, and Zelda appeared in front of him, blocking off the axe. With a slap, Zelda sent the minotaur flying into the distance.
