“Zahrin Sect is made up of many fortresses, each protected by powerful arcane arrays, so a surprise attack is most likely out of the question. Even if we do catch them by surprise, there is only so much we can do with such a small amount of people. What is our next move, Mr. Chance?” Chester asked.
They had managed to sneak their way into the secret realm, but it would be near impossible to launch a surprise attack on Zahrin Sect. Not only were they severely outnumbered, but Zahrin Sect’s defenses were also ridiculously tough.
“Who said anything about a surprise attack? I plan on defeating Lamar and wiping Zahrin Sect out openly and proudly!” Jared replied with: a faint smile before boldly making his way. toward Zahrin Sect.
Chester and Wayne exchanged confused. glances before following him with their men int tow. Meanwhile, Lamar and his son, Kayden, were drinking away happily inside Zahrin Sect.
Now that Zahrin Sect is the only sect in the Gate of Fire’s secret realm, all the resources here belong to us! Once the spiritual energy is restored, I will receive a huge reward, and Zahrin Sect will become one of the top sects in the mundane world! In fact, I might even be able to expand into the Ethereal Realm! The mere thought of that brought a huge smile to Lamar’s face.
“Dad, is Tanner of Evil Heart Sect really that powerful? You’ve remained loyal to him for dozens of years!” Kayden asked. My father is a sect leader and has hundreds of disciples, so why would he submit to someone else?
“You don’t know anything, do you? My abilities are nothing compared to Tanner’s! Also, keep in mind that I’m only working with him. Once the Spiritual Energy Restoration Formation is successfully activated, Zahrin Sect will flourish and rise to great heights!” Lamar replied with a gleeful smile.
His face had turned red from all that drinking. “I just think that taking over the Gate of Fire’s secret realm is good enough for Zahrin Sect,” Kayden said.
“Can’t you be a little more ambitious? How dare you call yourself a man if you don’t even have the guts to aim high? Get the f*ck out of here!” Lamar shouted angrily.
Kayden had no choice but to do as told and walked off. While he didn’t mind working with Evil Heart Sect, he was worried that the plan to restore the spiritual energy would fail. If that were to happen, then Zahrin Sect would lose. the Gate of Fire’s secret realm as well.
After leaving the front gate, Kayden jumped onto a tower that was hundreds of meters tall. There were dozens of those towers surrounding Zahrin Sect.
Those were not observation towers, though. Instead, they were used to set up arcane arrays. Due to Zahrin Sect’s huge size, they needed to use these towers to connect the arcane arrays and form a huge protective barrier. Right in the middle of that tower was a purple crystal that supplied the huge arcane array with energy.
That huge arcane array was the reason Zahrin Sect managed to grow stronger in the secret realm. The mere sight of it was enough to deter any would-be attackers, so no one had ever attempted to launch an attack on them.
Standing atop the tower, Kayden was gazing. into the distance when he noticed a group of people charging toward them. “Who are those people?” Kayden mumbled to himself with a confused frown.
Zahrin Sect is the only sect here in this secret realm, so there shouldn’t be anyone else here! Those don’t look like our disciples, and I don’t recall Zahrin Sect sending out a group like that!
