Tanner burst out laughing. “Hahaha! I already said I wouldn’t kill you, so why would I do anything? Once the Spiritual Energy Restoration Formation activates, you will come to realize that you are nothing but a clown!”
He then slowly faded away after saying that. Jared slumped to the ground after Tanner was gone. He had sustained internal injuries after that clash with Tanner earlier.
“Master!”
“Jared!” Feenix, Hailey, and Santiago rushed toward him. “Don’t worry, you guys! I’m fine!” Jared reassured them with a smile and a wave.
Santiago shuddered in fear as he exclaimed, “Tanner is way too powerful! I felt as though I couldn’t even move a muscle when facing him. earlier!” “That was just one of his shadow clones. The real Tanner is probably a lot more powerful!” Jared said.
Everyone fell silent upon hearing that. If Tanner really is that powerful, then Jared is no match for him at all!
Having witnessed Tanner’s power, Jared realized that he probably wouldn’t stand a chance even with his Divine Bow. Tanner is just as powerful as those demons! Judging by what he said earlier, I bet he knows them as well!
“Just who is Tanner of Evil Heart Sect?” Jared mumbled to himself and fell into deep thought. Beatrice, Cecilia, and the others showed up by then. Fearing for Jared’s safety, they came running over immediately after hearing the commotion.
“Jared! Are you okay?” Beatrice asked worriedly when she saw the weary look on his face. “I’m fine, Mom!” Jared replied with a smile. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when they saw that Jared was fine.
Santiago had wanted to have Jared rest at Violet Cloud Palace for a few more days before leaving, but Jared was in such a hurry to return to Jadeborough that he didn’t even stay over.
Jared then had Feenix lead the demon beasts: back into their secret realm. He knew that he would still require Feenix’s help in the future, as he had only dealt with one out of the Eight Major Secret Realms.
“You’re one of Jared’s women now, Hailey. Remember to serve him well and curb that temper of yours,” Roanna reminded Hailey.
Hailey nodded. “I will, Mom!”
After saying goodbye to Santiago and Roanna, Jared and the others teleported back to Jadeborough. When Beatrice returned to the Deragon residence, she saw that it had been given a complete makeover. As for Deragon Sect, it had become the largest sect in all of Jadeborough.
Beatrice was incredibly happy when she saw Jared’s accomplishments. Cecilia knew that Jared and Beatrice would have a lot to talk about since they were finally reunited, so she led the girls away to give them some space.
Jared and Beatrice spent the entire night catching up. “Mom, what kind of person was my father like? I’m really curious because a lot of people have been calling me the son of a dragon.’ What does that mean? Also, Mr. Draco said my father left us. Is that true?” Jared asked.
He was genuinely curious about the kind of person his father was. Jared wanted to know why his father had abandoned them and got Beatrice confined in the Deragon residence for over twenty years. Beatrice went into deep thought after hearing that.
Jared figured he had triggered some sad memories when he saw how quiet Beatrice had gotten. “It’s okay if you don’t feel like talking about it, Mom. I’m just glad that we’re finally reunited.”
Granddad might still be alive today if it weren’t for this as well!
“It’s nothing I can’t talk about…” Beatrice glanced out the window as she continued, “Your father was a great hero, so please don’t hate him. He must have had his reasons for abandoning us. That Dragon Ring and your cultivation technique belonged to your father. I know he must be someone of great importance, but I never asked who he truly was. Regardless, nothing he did will change the fact that he is your father.”
