“W-What’s going on?” Matthew and Great Diviner were brimming with confusion. Furrowing his brows tightly, Jared, too, had no idea what was happening.

“What we just encountered probably aren’t real demon beasts. Instead, they are demon beasts formed from negative energy who then reverted to their original form. The reason we didn’t notice it before was because it was floating everywhere around us,” Jared said after analyzing the situation.
This is the only logical explanation. Otherwise, where would the entire swarm of eagles have gone? Also, what about their corpses? “Mr. Chance’s analysis makes sense. Demon beasts can’t live in such conditions.”
Matthew nodded to indicate his agreement with Jared’s perspective. Meanwhile, the sight of his disciples wailing on the ground broke Great Diviner’s heart. What pained him further was that he had no way of giving them any medical treatment.
“My disciples, I hope you won’t blame me for giving you a quick death to end your suffering.” Great Diviner said. He planned to kill those who were grievously injured.
Considering their dangerous location, he knew that it wasn’t feasible to bring the heavily. injured along with them, and leaving them. behind was even crueler.
However, right before Great Diviner struck, Jared came forward to stop him. “Mr. Chance, look at the pain they’re in. I just want to end their suffering,” Great Diviner lamented.
“Master Diviner, they may be badly injured, but their injuries are not fatal. We can easily treat them still! Is anyone carrying any medicinal herbs? Give them to me.” Great Diviner gave Jared a look of surprise. “Mr. Chance, do you know how to cure the sick? Are you an alchemist too?”
“Master Diviner, Mr. Chance is not just any alchemist but a high-ranking alchemy master. Even Isaac Bachman of the Alchemical Sect pales in comparison to him!” Matthew revealed to Great Diviner.
Shocked by the revelation, Great Diviner couldn’t help but give Jared another look. Despite Jared’s young age, he had never ceased to surprise Great Diviner.
Soon, everyone managed to bring out so many herbs that they formed a pile. It wasn’t difficult to gather them as secret realms were filled with herbs. With no time to waste, Jared retrieved the Divine Cauldron from his Storage Ring and began mixing the herbs together.
Treating serious incised wounds was a walk in the park for Jared. Within a short time, he managed to produce an ointment that Great Diviner applied on the wounds of his disciples.
The very next moment, the wounds began to heal right in front of Great Diviner’s eyes. It was a sight that blew his mind. “Now that we have some time, let me teach you an incantation that prevents the negative. energy from mentally crushing all of you.”
Jared went on to teach them the calming incantation. As he was uncertain about the dangers that awaited them ahead, he felt it necessary to teach them the incantation in the event the copper coins were not enough to protect their mental state.
While chanting the calming incantation, Great Diviner stood frozen on the spot with his mouth agape, for only he knew how powerful the incantation was and Jared had just readily taught it to everyone.
