A Man Like None Other Chapter 2329

Matthew had no idea how long he could protect Jared. The mention of self-destruction was merely an empty threat to scare Wrey. Even if Wrey was unfazed, the various sect members at the scene would surely intervene.

They would do their best to stop Matthew’s self-destruction, as it would undoubtedly cause harm to those around him.

These people had no qualms about uniting with opposing sects to protect their selfish interests. Once that happened, Matthew’s Luminous Sect would have no means to defend itself against their attack.

He had to send Jared away while Wrey was still frightened by his threats. Jared nodded toward Matthew and fled.

Wrey noticed Jared’s escape and was about to act. However, Matthew rushed forward and blocked his path, acting as though he was fighting for his life.

Alas, Wrey could only watch Jared slip through his fingers. “Flying Star Sect and Luminous Sect are sworn enemies from now on, Matthew,” seethed Wrey.

“Please, did you think I’m scared of you?” replied Matthew fearlessly. Matthew and Wrey glared at each other. A moment later, Wrey’s lips curved into a smirk, and he drawled, “I fell for your trick earlier, Matthew. Now that everyone’s here, plenty of people will stop you from self-destructing. If your claims are even true, that is. You’re not getting your way today. As long as Jared is in this secret realm, I will not let him escape, even if I use all my resources from Flying Star Sect.”

He turned to the others and announced, “Listen up. I’ll award three years’ worth of Flying Star Sect’s resources to the person who captures and kills Jared. You’ve seen for yourselves that Jared is seriously wounded. He’s no better than a cripple. Killing him should be child’s play!”

Wrey knew Flying Star Sect’s members would have a hard time scouring the vast secret realm for Jared. Besides, Matthew would be attempting to stop their efforts at every turn.

It made more sense to capitalize on the manpower from the other sects to hunt and kill Jared. Besides, Wrey believed Matthew would not dare to make enemies of all the sects in the hidden realm. As expected, everyone’s gazes glinted with greed at Wrey’s declaration.

Though they had no bad blood with Jared, the sheer number of resources Wrey was offering in exchange for Jared’s life was too tempting to reject. Matthew was clearly perturbed by Wrey’s challenge. He roared, “I will fight anyone who harms Mr. Chance.”

Alas, his threat barely frightened the crowd. They knew Matthew was not strong enough to go against all the sects in the hidden realm.

At this moment, there was nothing Matthew could do but fervently pray that Jared had run far, far away from that place, or even escaped the secret realm.

At the same time, Jared was running for his life. With his abilities suppressed, he could only protect his life by fleeing. Unbeknownst to him, many people were hunting him down in the secret realm.

Just then, Ranzoph’s voice rang out beside. Jared’s ear. “You need to hurry and find the marked location on the map. Once you’re there, I can help you.”

Jared wanted to rant about the impossibility of his situation. He wished to find the location. quickly, but the dense forest and constant checking of coordinates greatly reduced his movement speed.

He asked, “What is this place that you’re trying to find? Will you come back to life at that spot?” Jared had no idea who the old man was. He doesn’t even have a soul. Can he come back to life with his skeleton? He had witnessed souls coming back to life, but not skeletons.

“What do you know? My soul hasn’t entirely dissipated. It’s just not here. Once I’m at the marked location, I can use my skeleton to summon my soul. And once my soul is here, I can easily get rid of all the people who bullied you earlier!” boasted Ranzoph.
