After Jared and Flaxseed got into the water, they continuously swam downward. As they descended further down the sea, their surroundings grew dimmer and soon turned pitch-black. “Jared, it’s so dark here. Where’s the shiny thing you mentioned?”
Scanning his surroundings, Flaxseed felt nervous and gripped the corner of Jared’s clothes tightly. Meanwhile, Jared unleashed his aura, creating a shield around them as their bodies plummeted. “Don’t tell me you can’t see the light source?”
Jared asked Flaxseed in surprise. “I really can’t see it. This whole place is pitch. dark. If there were light, I would’ve noticed it early on. Stop scaring me!”
Flaxseed looked around him and grimaced. Jared furrowed his brows in silence while he continued moving toward the source of light. / don’t get it. Why can’t Flaxseed see it? Why am I the only one who can see the light?
They plunged deeper into the sea and arrived at a narrow ravine not long after. Staring at the gloomy and oppressive ravine, Flaxseed started to regret his decision to follow Jared there.
Unfortunately, at that point, he could only desperately hold on to the corner of Jared’s clothes and press on with the dive. After an unknown amount of time passed, the initially inky environment suddenly lit up.
“What’s that?” Flaxseed shouted as he could. also see the radiance now. Jared looked at the source of luminosity and noticed a glowing white skeleton. Jared was baffled by the existence of a skeleton in the depths of the ocean. Moreover, why is the skeleton alight?
They moved closer and realized the skeleton was actually glistening and translucent, shining brightly like crystals. “Is this a real skeleton or one made from crystal?”
Flaxseed crouched down and inspected their finding. The skeleton was complete, as even its finger bones were still intact and visible. However, the presence of the skeleton there was rather puzzling.
Upon scrutinizing the skeleton, Jared suddenly discovered some special markings on its skull. He hurriedly squatted down and examined the skull. To Jared’s astonishment, an intricate network of lines and labels was engraved on the skull.
“Mr. Flaxseed, check this out. What do you think this is?” Jared called Flaxseed over to study the unique markings on the skull. Upon closer investigation, Flaxseed exclaimed joyfully, “This seems to be a map. Could it be a treasure map? Don’t you think this resembles Kazillion Mountains? Also, here and here.”
Flaxseed pointed out some trails on the skull to Jared. After hearing Flaxseed’s insights, Jared realized it was indeed a map with some specially labeled spots. He figured it must be a map depicting directions to a specific ancient ruin filled with treasures.
After all, thousands of years ago, the earth was populated with countless spiritual energy- cultivating sects. Hence, the existence of such treasures-loaded ancient ruins was just an ordinary occurrence.
“But who is this? I can’t believe he carved a treasure map on his own skull. And how did his remains end up here?” Jared asked..
“How would I know? However, this skeleton most likely appeared here because this person was murdered at sea, and his corpse was casually tossed and ended up here. In addition, due to the influence of the underwater environment, the bones underwent crystallization and turned into this state. To think that you managed to perceive the light from the sea surface, this might just be the work of fate!”
Flaxseed couldn’t explain the origin of that skeleton either, nor could he fathom why someone would carve the treasure map on his skull. After all, a normal person wouldn’t do something like that.
