“Autumn, why does it feel like someone has been in this hot spring?” Hailey commented with a frown. “I can seem to sense Jared’s aura here.”
Autumn giggled before saying, “Ms. Hargreaves, don’t be silly. How could someone have been here? Even if someone did come, it wouldn’t be Jared. You’ve been mentioning Jared on and off ever since you came back. You can’t have fallen for him, right? I hope you remember that he’s just a normal person from the mundane world. He’s no match for you. Moreover, you’re engaged to Mr. Lassen. Please don’t let your thoughts stray anymore.”
“Who’s interested in him? It was just a passing thought.”
With that, Hailey began absorbing the spiritual energy inside the hot spring. Back in Medicine God Sect, Jared opened the door and realized Axton had returned.
“Ms. Knox, how was it? Have you gathered all the medicinal herbs?” Jared asked, his brows raised in delight.
“My Lord, I’ve found most of the medicinal .herbs, but there is still one thing I can’t find- Century Eye Herb,” Axton uttered, embarrassed.
Jared knitted his brows. “It’s true that Century Eye Herb is hard to find. It has no roots and bears no fruit. Furthermore, it only lives for a short time. Finding it would take a long time indeed.”
“My Lord, if we can ask the wanderers about it, they might be able to tell us where to find it. I’m afraid we’ll waste too much time if we were to look for it ourselves,” Axton suggested.
He knew Jared was anxious to get the herbs as quickly as possible, so he was trying to think of ways to get the final herb in the swiftest manner.
Encounter with herbs like Century Eye Herb was decided by fate. It might take a year and a half to find it, but five years might also pass before they could locate it.
“You don’t need to look for Century Eye Herb anymore. Store the other medicinal herbs you’ve found well, and I’ll think of another method for this…”
Jared decided to go to Flaxseed.
That man wanders everywhere in search of ancient ruins and tombs. Since he’s traveled across the country, it’s likely that he’ll know where to find Century Eye Herb.
Without wasting a second, Jared brought Evangeline with him and took a plane to Whitesea, where Flaxseed was enjoying his life.

Simmonses.
After Tristan and Megan got married, they returned to Jadeborough and waited for their baby to be born.
In the meantime, Flaxseed stayed in Whitesea and let the Simmonses deal with all the necessities in his life.

When Jared came to Flaxseed, he was greeted by the sight of the latter being fed fruits by two beautiful women.
At that, Jared loudly cleared his throat. “Ahem!”
Hearing the sound, Flaxseed tilted his head and looked over. When he saw that it was Jared, he
hastily dismissed the two women. “Jared, why are you here?” he asked in surprise.
“Perhaps the renowned Mr. Flaxseed would be gone from this world if I didn’t come. The peace in your lifestyle is going to rot you from the inside, Jared remarked, shooting Flaxseed at glare.
“Haha! Don’t worry. No jewelry or beautiful women are going to be better than the treasures in ancient tombs! It’s because you’re not around, and I don’t have the guts to go to Skywrath Sect myself. There wasn’t anything for me to do, so I decided to chat with the ladies instead. Also, you have a beautiful woman by your side too! In fact, there are more pretty ladies by your side than by mine, so stop trying to stand on the moral high ground!”
With that, Flaxseed patted Jared on his shoulder smilingly, rendering the latter speechless.
“Hey there, pretty lady!” Flaxseed greeted Evangeline, but she did not show any reaction.
Jared was about to say something to Flaxseed, only to see the latter’s expression turning tense. In the next second, Flaxseed fished out a charm and muttered a chant under his breath before sticking the charm on Evangeline’s forehead.
“Mr. Flaxseed, what are you doing?” Jared asked with a puzzled expression on his face.
“This woman has no trace of life on her; she only has ghoul energy. This is a zombie puppet. Young man, you’ve been deceived,” Flaxseed solemnly said to Jared.
