Upon spotting him, Lizbeth rushed forward and scrutinized him. “I’m fine.”
Jared’s face was quite pale. He quickly spun around to face Evangeline, who had been. following him. With a worried expression, he -inspected her body.
An envious glint flashed across Lizbeth when she witnessed that scene.

almost like a puppet at times, she was still a woman. Naturally, Lizbeth would feel jealous upon seeing Jared touch her all over.
