Chapter 1513 It Was A Guess
The rest of them shuddered when they saw what happened. Zion quickly got back up on his feet and bowed his head. He dared not utter another word in front of Arthur.
“All of you shall give yourselves ten slaps as a punishment. If you dare to go against the authorities again, I will show no mercy.”
When those people from the prestigious families heard that, they were scared out of their wits.
Without further hesitation, everyone began to slap themselves as hard as they could.
As for Zion, his body was shaking like a leaf.
During that period of time, the authorities, including Arthur, did nothing no matter what the Warriors Alliance had done.
Hence, it gave Zion the illusion that Arthur was wary of the power of the Warriors Alliance.
It was only right now that Zion realized they were nobodies as far as Arthur was concerned.
Once they had finished slapping themselves, Arthur said coldly, “Get lost. As for Jared, all of you can deal with him on your own…”
Zion immediately nodded before leaving with everyone else.
After Zion and the others left, Xavier eyed Arthur in puzzlement. “Mr. Sanders, aren’t you putting Jared in danger by allowing them free reign? Those fellows from the Warriors Alliance will surely find a way to get rid of Jared.”
Arthur smiled. “Jared is more powerful than I imagined. It appears that he becomes stronger when he is faced with more pressure. That’s why I need to pressure him.”
Although Xavier did not understand what Arthur meant, he did not feel he had the right to question the latter.
Once Zion was out of the Department of Justice, he patted his chest and caught his breath.
“I nearly lost my life just now. In the future, I won’t come here again,” mumbled Zion as he wiped his sweat away.
As for the rest of the people from the prestigious families, they were questioning Zion in anger.
Initially, Zion had rallied them to support him. He also assured them that everything would be fine.
Yet, right now, all of them had swollen cheeks. When they went back, people would certainly ridicule them.
When they returned to Warriors Alliance, Skylar asked Zion, “President Zeigler, what did Mr. Sanders say?”
“Nothing. If you all need to pressure the authorities again, the rest of you can do it yourself. I nearly lost my life at the Department of Justice!” Zion bellowed angrily.
When Skylar saw Zion’s attitude, he actually burst out in laughter. By the looks of it, he had known that was going to be the outcome!
“Did Mr. Sanders tell you that the Warriors Alliance can deal with the matter on our own?” asked Skylar.
Zion was startled. “How did you know that?”
“It’s a guess!” Skylar smiled and continued, “If Mr. Sanders wanted to get involved, he wouldn’t have allowed the martial arts world in Jadeborough to become a complete mess. I think Mr. Sanders is waiting for the mess in the martial arts world in Jadeborough to reach its peak before he rebuilds a new order.”
“What the f*ck! If you knew that, why did you let me go and look for Mr. Sanders? Did you do it deliberately? His slap nearly killed me!” Zion roared petulantly at Skylar when he heard that.
In truth, he dared not do anything to Skylar because Skylar was more powerful than him in the Warriors Alliance.
When Skylar saw the anger in Zion, he smiled. “Get ready to kill Jared. If you fail this time around, Tanner won’t let you off.”
At the mention of Tanner, Zion quivered all over, and his expression became grim. He quickly left the Warriors Alliance building and went to the martial arts arena to make the necessary arrangements. Everything had to be flawless.
After Zion left, Skylar sneered, “What an idiot! How did someone like him become the president?”
With that, he returned to his cultivation.
