Chapter 1492 The Rescue
“You’re too weak. Why not go home and cultivate more instead of roaming around? You will lose your lives if you’re careless…” Jared said.
Angered by Jared’s taunt, Travis, Brody, and even Quad were prepared to attack him together again. Although Jared’s abilities were astonishing, the three of them were ready to fight him with their lives fearlessly.
However, Oakley stopped them at once. He frowned at Jared and asked, “Who are you? We are The Villainous Four from the Village of Villains, and we don’t have any bad blood with you. Why are you following us?”
Oakley knew that there were many hidden talents in the martial arts world in Jadeborough. Since he didn’t know Jared’s true capabilities, he was careful not to risk their lives unless it was necessary because they had something far more important to do.
The Villainous Four were there to rescue Renee. It would not be worthwhile if a fight ensued or too much time was delayed.
At that moment, Jared took off his hat and revealed his face.
When The Villainous Four saw him, they widened their eyes in disbelief and fell to their knees.
“My Lord! Y-You’re alive!” Oakley sobbed.
They all thought Jared was dead because they hadn’t seen him for a long time.
“Get up, quick…” Jared helped them up. “I will not die so easily. The person who can kill me is not even born yet…”
“My Lord, were you the one who wiped out the sects a while ago?” Brody asked as he recalled the recent events in the martial arts world in Jadeborough.
Jared nodded, admitting that it was his doing without trying to deny it.
The Villainous Four were even more shocked because it meant that Jared’s martial arts skills had improved a great deal.
“What brings the four of you to Jadeborough?” Jared asked.
The Villainous Four suddenly looked embarrassed and awkward. After a moment of silence, Oakley finally said, “My Lord, Ms. Renee was taken away by Edgar. We’re here to save her…”
“What?”
Flames of fury raged in Jared.
“Damn it, Edgar!” Jared gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
The Villainous Four were frightened when they took in Jared’s expression.
A while later, after his murderous aura dissipated, Jared asked, “Do you guys have a death wish? How are you going to rescue Renee from the Deragon residence and get out alive? The four of you are not capable enough to fight the Deragons!”
The Deragon family was one of the oldest and most prestigious martial arts families in the martial arts world in Jadeborough. There were so many talents in the Deragon family. Even The Villainous Four were no match for Edgar alone.
It was no different from committing suicide if they went to the Deragon residence hastily.
“Ryker and Edgar are not around at the moment, and some of the martial arts experts have been reassigned to other places. This is a good time to save Ms. Renee…” Oakley said.
Jared was confused. “How do you know?”
Oakley explained, “Rayleigh called the Deragons, saying that he wanted to meet Ryker. Now that Ryker has gone over with some of the martial arts experts, we thought we could seize the opportunity to rescue Ms. Renee…”
“Mr. Deragon?” Jared exclaimed.
Rayleigh had lost his power. How could an ordinary person like him fight Ryker?
He was sacrificing himself to lure Ryker away from the Deragon residence in order to create an opportunity for them to rescue Renee.
Ryker hated Rayleigh and Draco for betraying him and eventually causing the events that followed. He had been wanting to kill Rayleigh for a long time.
