Chapter 1361 Man In Black Interrupts
“Hmph!” Tobias sneered before activating his internal martial energy. A brilliant light suddenly erupted at the spot where their sword energy clashed. Boom!
The explosion coming from the sword energy was deafening. Even the ground shook violently. An endless amount of dust and smoke rose to the sky. Terrifying shockwaves continued to spread out in all directions.
With the sands covering the sky, it looked as though Armageddon had descended upon the world. Even a magnitude ten earthquake wasn’t that scary. One meter of the mountaintop was sliced off because of that clash.
Staring at the frightening scene ahead, Millie asked anxiously, “Do you think Jared will be fine, Cecilia?” Cecilia was gritting her teeth and tightening her fists, so much so that her fingernails were digging into her flesh.
She had no idea if Jared could win or even survive. If he died, then she probably wouldn’t want to live either since Jared pissed off the Rider family to save her.
The man in black hiding behind the giant rock frowned as he tightened his grip on the charms in his hand.
It would seem like he was worried about Jared.
If he were the one battling against Tobias at the moment, there was no way he could’ve defended himself and would’ve already perished.
However, at that moment, Tobias was staring unmovingly at the spot Jared originally occupied with furrowed eyebrows.
That was because in the instant the sword energy exploded, he felt an indestructible aura.
“What is that? Is the brat not dead yet?” With a displeased expression, Tobias waved his hand.
Suddenly, a wild gust of wind blew away all the dust and smoke, revealing the battlefield for everyone to see.
Then, everyone saw a crater that was about three meters square large.
What was really strange about the crater was that the shape resembled a smooth bowl. It was as though a metal ball was forcefully beaten into the earth and left that crater behind.
At the bottom of the crater was Jared, who was standing in the middle, completely covered in blood.
“He didn’t die?” Tobias was flabbergasted. How can that attack not kill him?
“One of us will die today!” Jared shouted while his head remained lowered, which was why Tobias couldn’t see his expression.
However, his voice was icy cold and devoid of any emotions.
That made Tobias’ heart tremble uncontrollably for a moment.
After wiping the blood on his face away, Jared slowly walked out of the crater.
Each step he took toward his opponent left a bloody footprint on the ground.
A sense of uneasiness filled Tobias’ heart as he shouted, “What are you doing? Stop right there! Otherwise, don’t blame me for what I’ll do!”
Jared took two more steps forward before stopping.
At that moment, there was only a five-meter gap between them.
Jared raised his head abruptly and stared at Tobias.
Boom!
Tobias’ spirit was shaken.
In Jared’s bloody eyes, he saw murderous intent, pain, hatred, death, emptiness, and insanity!
“You will die today!” Jared growled one word at a time.
In the split second when Tobias was still dumbfounded, Jared rushed toward him.
“This is bad!” Tobias’ heart raced as he dodged without thinking.
However, it was too late.
It was a calculated attack Jared had been waiting to unleash.
He pumped all his remaining spiritual energy into his fist and sent it flying toward Tobias.
There was nothing fancy about the attack. It was just a plain, straightforward punch.
He planned to take Tobias down with him by using that punch.
Of course, Jared knew he was taking a risky gamble. It wasn’t guaranteed that his Nascent Soul wouldn’t be damaged and his body would regenerate.
However, everyone else only saw him launching a suicide attack without knowing why. Hence, they were shocked.
“Jared!” Cecilia and Millie exclaimed in unison.
Tobias was also taken aback when he saw Jared recklessly charging toward him.
The man in black hiding behind the giant rock was shocked before he jumped out.
