Chapter 1345 Looking For Someone
“Desmond, y-you’re unbelievably shameless!” Cecilia stood up furiously, wanting to give Desmond a slap.
Unfortunately, the second she stood up, her body felt weak, and even her martial energy could not be summoned.
It made Cecilia’s rage spike, and she trembled with rage.
“Stop trying to resist, Lady Jingle. Just do as you’re told. I promise to treat you well,” said Colton, a sly smile creeping up his lips as he reached out to touch Cecilia’s face.
“Lady Jingle, run!”
Just then, the two disciples of Crimson Palace, who had been standing behind Cecilia, pulled out their swords and aimed them at Colton.
They each took a side and charged at Colton.
Seeing that, Colton snorted, grabbed the disciples’ swords, and twisted them hard.
Bam!
The swords broke, their other halves in Colton’s hand.
Immediately after that, Colton waved his hand, and a cold glint flashed.
A wound appeared on each of the disciples’ necks. It then enlarged, and blood gushed out of them.
Cecilia’s eyes widened as she witnessed the disciples’ horrifying death. Though she was too weak to move, she still forced herself to knock Colton over.
Colton reached out and grabbed her wrist, putting her under his control.
“Let me go, you monster. I dare you to kill me!” Cecilia yelled furiously.
However, Colton seemed unbothered by her words. In fact, the more she scolded him, the happier he felt.
“Well done, Lord Cowper. I’ll order someone to bring you the enhancement pills once I get back,” Colton said to Desmond.
“You’re being too polite, Mr. Colton. If that’s the case, I shall graciously accept your offer. Should I get someone to send you back?” Desmond asked flatteringly.
“No, it’s okay. We can go back on our own.” With that, Colton lifted Cecilia and walked out of the precinct.
Cecilia struggled with all her might. “Let me go, you b*stard!”
Sadly, no matter how hard she struggled, she could not break free from Colton’s grip. At her wits’ end, she bit him on the shoulder.
“Ah!” Colton shrieked in pain, immediately landing a chop on the back of Cecilia’s neck.
Just like that, Cecilia passed out. At the same time, Colton cursed under his breath, “This lady is quite feisty. I like it.”
Meanwhile, Millie instructed a few men to guard the back of the mountain at Crimson Palace. After all, the cave was somewhere not too far up the mountain. She was not going to let anyone enter it.
Someplace not too far away from them, a shadow slowly appeared. After watching Millie and the others for some time, the shadow leaped swiftly to the back of the mountain and slipped into the cave.
The shadow’s movements were so quick and light that no sound was made. Thus, Millie and the others were totally unaware of what happened.
As the sky slowly got darker, Millie glanced at the time and asked, “Why isn’t Cecilia back yet? Don’t tell me something happened to her.”
Millie kept feeling uneasy, and her eyelids kept twitching.
She went to the palace’s entrance and waited anxiously for Cecilia’s return.
Soon, the sky turned dark, with countless stars twinkling in the sky. It was way past dinnertime, yet there was no news from Cecilia. It made Millie worry terribly.
After all, Cecilia never stayed out so late. Now that so much time had passed, her absence could only mean that something had happened.
Moreover, many families and sects had ill intentions toward Crimson Palace. To make matters worse, Cecilia’s beauty made them covet her more.
After analyzing the situation, Millie had no choice but to gather some people to head over to Divine Beast Sect to look for Cecilia. The former wanted to find out what was going on.
Just as Millie was about to walk out of Crimson Palace with a group of people, they spotted someone slowly making his way toward them.
Seeing that, Millie frowned and ordered the others to be on guard.
