A Man Like None Other Chapter 1343

Chapter 1343 A Special Place In Her Heart

Matters like Jared killing Richard were a big deal in the Southwest Region. It was impossible to keep it from the others. Colton only needed to ask around to learn about the matter.

“Mr. Colton, of course, I’d be happy to be of service. However, as you’re aware, Cecilia has been staying chaste all this while. She’ll never give in. I’m afraid…”

Desmond feared Cecilia would do something extreme. It would be troublesome if both parties got into trouble.

“Lord Cowper, I just need you to make Cecilia come into the Divine Beast Sect. I’ll handle the rest,” said Colton plainly.

Desmond studied Colton, knowing the latter would not give up without achieving his goals. Hence, Desmond forced through gritted teeth, “Okay. I’ll bring Cecilia over for you.”

“Hahaha! You’re a wise man, Lord Cowper. I shall wait here patiently, then.” Colton continued guffawing.

Meanwhile, at Crimson Palace, Cecilia and Millie had been feeling distracted and not eating well for several days.

“Cecilia, was Jared really killed by Warriors Alliance? I just can’t believe it. Could Warriors Alliance be releasing fake news?”

Millie was unwilling to believe Jared had died just like that.

Cecilia, however, said nothing in response because she knew Warriors Alliance of Jadeborough usually would not release fake news.

Even so, Cecilia, too, did not believe Jared would die so easily.

At that moment, Cecilia could still recall the night that made her think Jared had died.

The anomalies that occurred when Jared was breaking through proved he was different from ordinary martial artists. Perhaps he might come back to life like what happened last time.

Just then, a martial trainee of Crimson Palace informed Cecilia, “Lady Jingle, someone from Divine Beast Sect is here.”

Hearing it was someone from Divine Beast Sect, Cecilia quickly recollected herself and said, “Let him in.”

Ever since Divine Beast Sect and Crimson Palace formed an alliance, Cecilia had been keeping in touch with Divine Beast Sect.

It did not take long for the messenger from Divine Beast Sect to come in. He then said to Cecilia, “Lady Jingle, Lord Cowper would like to invite you to Divine Beast Sect. He says there’s something important that needs to be discussed.”

Upon hearing that, Cecilia nodded, saying, “Okay. I’ve noted that. Tell Lord Cowper I’ll be there right away.”

The moment the messenger left, Cecilia started making preparations to leave for Divine Beast Sect.

“Cecilia, I’ll go with you,” Millie offered.

“You should stay here and keep an eye on the cave. Don’t let anyone enter it,” Cecilia instructed. She glanced in the direction of Jadeborough and continued, “I keep getting the feeling that Mr. Chance will come…”

“You think Jared’s not dead, too?” Millie asked happily when she heard Cecilia putting it that way.

Cecilia did not answer. Whether or not Jared was dead, he would always have a special place in her heart.

All Cecilia knew was that she would never be attracted to another man from that day onward.

With that, Cecilia hurried over. Meanwhile, Colton pulled out a tiny vial from his pocket, poured a few drops of liquid into a cup, and stirred it.

At the same time, Desmond merely watched Colton making preparations, saying nothing.

In the past, Desmond felt a strong disgust and aversion whenever he saw Richard plotting evil things. That was why the former used the chance to kill Richard when he was fighting Jared. In the end, he became the lord of Divine Beast Sect.

And now, Desmond had become the devil himself. He had become the same person as Richard was. However, it was something unavoidable. After all, he had gained a different perception after being in a different position.

“Lord Cowper, I’ll be counting on you for the next steps. As long as you make Lady Jingle drink this cup of coffee, she’ll obey everything we say,” Colton said to Desmond.
