A myriad of emotions went through Jared as he gazed at them. They knew that he was dead but still risked their own lives trying to avenge him.
“Come on! Let’s go and meet Mr. Deragon!” Jared urged.

The two men who were sent to capture Lizbeth were kneeling on the floor in the hall.
David was seated with an incredulous look on his face.
“Are you certain that the man you met was Jared?” David questioned them.
“Yes, Mr. Norton, it was him without a doubt,” said one of the men.
David frowned in silence. He just could not imagine how Jared could have survived.
Furthermore, it was only three short days, even if Jared did not die, his injuries were so severe that he could not have recovered.
“So, Jared did not lift a finger against you, and you both just came running home. Were you both afraid of him even though you had hostages?
Skylar glared at the two men and asked angrily, “At the very least, you are both Martial Arts Grandmasters. How could you act so cowardly?”
“Mr. Norton, even though Jared did nothing, the two of us couldn’t bear the aura emanating from him. What would happen if he took action against us?” explained one of the men.
“Nonsense! Jared is just a Semi Martial Arts Marquis. He does not have such a horrifying aura.”
Skylar did not believe that because he had battled Jared before.
