Chapter 1275 Flirtatious Behaviour
“Jared… Jared…” Lizbeth and the other two girls cried out as they were too excited and surprised to see him. The girls could not believe their eyes when they saw that it was Jared.
Lizbeth was trembling and her voice was hoarse. When the two Norton family members heard that the man was none other than Jared, their faces turned pale!
“You… You are Jared? Aren’t you already dead?” One of the Norton men asked with a trembling voice.
“I was dead, but I have come back to life!”
There was a playful smile on Jared’s face as he approached them slowly.
“D-don’t. come any closer or else, I’ll harm them!”
The two Norton men quickly subdued Lizbeth and the other girls with the intention of using them as hostages.
However, Jared did not stop. Instead, he continued to move forward.
“Let all three of them go, and I’ll let you live. If you dare harm even a strand of their hair, I’ll make you wish you were dead!”
Jared’s voice was calm and controlled, but every word struck fear in the hearts of the two Norton men!
“Stay right there. Don’t come any closer…” One of the Norton men panicked and trembled violently.
Even though he was a Martial Arts Grandmaster, he felt terrified!
“Are you turning a deaf ear to my instructions? I asked you to let the three of them go…”
Jared’s expression turned dark, and in an instant, he looked like a killer about to strike!
A gust of wind blew past Jared, bringing with it the aura of his intention to kill which he exuded towards the two Norton men.
The two men trembled, feeling as if they had fallen into ice water.
“Let them go…” Suddenly, Jared let out a thunderous roar.
In shock, the two men let go of the girls and fell kneeling on the ground with a thud.
Lizbeth and the other girls raced to hide behind Jared.
“Don’t kill us. We are just obeying orders…” The two Norton men started begging for their lives.
At that point, the two Martial Arts Grandmasters had turned into frightened little children begging Jared to let them off.
Without moving a finger, Jared had torn down the two men’s dignity solely by the aura that emanated from his body.
“I’ve already said that if you let them go, I shall let you go too…”
“You can go now and tell David that tomorrow I shall personally be at his doorstep to exact revenge!” Jared spoke in an icy tone.
On hearing that, the two Norton men turned around and fled. They were so frightened that they hastened off without any hesitation.
“Jared…”
After the two Norton men were gone, Lizbeth buried herself in Jared’s arms.
She could not help it as teardrops started to roll down her cheeks.
As Lyanna watched Jared hugging Lizbeth, she experienced emotions that could not be described in words.
She wanted to lie in Jared’s arms too, just as she desired to have someone to rely on.
However, that was not for her. From the experiences she had been through since her childhood, she had become stronger than most other girls.
“Don’t cry, please. Look! I’m fine.”
Jared gently consoled Lizbeth.
“I thought you were really dead and I did not want to go on living anymore. I want to be with you…” said Lizbeth as she cried.
“I’m not going to die just like that. I haven’t even slept with beautiful women yet, so I’m not prepared to die…” Jared said jokingly.
At that, Lizbeth blushed deeply, and she punched him softly. “Don’t talk nonsense. We are not alone…”
“That’s enough. You two should stop flirting because we have to hurry home, or else Mr. Deragon will start worrying.” Melanie could not bear it any longer at that point, so she spoke up.
“Is Mr. Deragon here as well?”
Jared was rather shocked. After all, Rayleigh had lost his powers and had become just an ordinary person. It was dangerous for him to be in Jadeborough.
If the Deragons discover his whereabouts, he would certainly be abducted and tortured.
