As night had fallen and the weather was slightly cold, the street in Jadeborough was not as busy. Lizbeth and her two partners hid in an alley, waiting for the Nortons to pass by the place.
Since two Nortons had entered a restaurant on the street earlier, Lizbeth believed they would soon come out. Soon, two drunken men came up to them while supporting each other from the other side of the street.
They were none other than the Nortons for which Lizbeth and her partners had been waiting. “They’re coming. Since the two Nortons are drunk, we can take them down easily,” Melanie whispered as soon as she saw them coming.
“Let’s go.”
Lyanna held Melanie’s hand and walked out of the alley.
“Be careful. The two Nortons are likely to be Martial Arts Grandmasters,” Lizbeth reminded them.
Lizbeth and others successfully took down two Martial Arts Grandmasters earlier only because they were mentally unprepared.
Now that the Norton family had kept their guards up, it wasn’t easy to lay a finger on Martial Arts Grandmasters anymore.
“No worries. Since they are drunk, we can finish them off easily,” Lyanna assured her confidently.
As the two Nortons staggered toward the alley, Lyanna and Melanie went up to greet them.
“Hey, handsome! Where are you guys heading to?” Lyanna asked while raising her eyebrows coquettishly.
Meanwhile, a glint flashed across the Nortons’ eyes once Lyanna and Melanie came into sight.
“Hahaha. What a surprise to bump into two beautiful ladies tonight! Well, I happen to feel a little bored. Can you come with me to have fun together?”
One of them snickered lustfully and wanted to grab Lyanna’s arm.
Lyanna quickly dodged him and said, “What’s the rush? Let’s look for a place. After all, we can’t do it on the street!”
Then, Lyanna and Melanie winked flirtatiously at the two Nortons in unison.
A glint of excitement flashed across the Nortons’ eyes but was soon replaced by dullness due to their state of mind.
Thinking they had successfully seduced the Nortons, Lyanna sneered and took out her dagger.
At the same time, Lizbeth also rushed out of the alley to act with Lyanna.
At that juncture, the men’s eyes suddenly lit up. The next moment, they seized Lyanna and Lizbeth effortlessly.
The dramatic turn of events shocked Lyanna, Lizbeth, and Melanie.
“Hey, what are you doing?” Melanie asked one of the Nortons gently while trying to seduce him.
“Humph! Your tricks do not work on us!”
Another Norton quickly caught Melanie by her arm.
The three girls panicked upon realizing the Nortons didn’t fall into their trap.
“Ah, so that’s why. Many of the Nortons died in your hands under this method. Now, let us take you guys to meet Mr. Norton.”
The two Nortons restrained Lizbeth along with the other and dragged them to the end of the street.
They tried hard to break free but to no avail. Given that the Nortons were Martial Arts Grandmasters, they had no chance to wriggle free.
As they almost reached the end of the street, the Nortons suddenly noticed a man standing with his back against them.
Immediately, the Nortons exuded a strong aura and braced themselves for a battle.
Moments later, one of them walked toward the man and asked, “Dude, who are you? We are from the Norton family!”
“Release the three ladies,” said the man as he slowly turned around.
Upon seeing the man’s face, Lizbeth and the other ladies widened their eyes and got emotional.
