Chapter 1266 Lightning Tribulation
“Oh, you’re alive! You’re alive!” Cecilia burst into joyful tears. Jared wanted to give her a pat on the back, but he soon realized that he couldn’t move his hand.
Dumbfounded, he tried to sit up but his legs refused to move. He could only control his mind, and his body was beyond his control. Jared panicked instantly.
Carefully, he began checking his body. To his surprise, he discovered that the golden elixir in his body had turned into a golden figure.
The little golden figure looked exactly like him! Could this be Nascent Soul? Jared got so excited that he nearly yelled out loud.

Seeing his reaction, Cecilia immediately assured him, “Don’t worry. I’ll find you a doctor who can treat your condition. Even if you can’t recover, I’ll take care of you for the rest of your life.”
To say that Jared’s emotions right then were complicated was an understatement.
He could sense that Cecilia loved him dearly, but he dared not reciprocate her feelings.

After enduring the lightning tribulation, he could rebuild his body and recover completely. He wouldn’t have to lie in bed and suffer after his bones were crushed.

“Lightning tribulation?” Cecilia was confused, for she didn’t understand what that was.
