A Man Like None Other Chapter 1235

Chapter 1235 Residing In Your Body

“I must have revenge…” Jared said faintly after having calmed down.

“Revenge?” Mr. Sanders asked.

With a light wave, Mr. Sanders threw the defenseless man off before continuing, “Listen. The martial arts world has its rules, and I decide how things are run in Jadeborough’s martial arts world. If you want to break the rules and disobey me, you’ll need to show me you’ve got what it takes to do that. If you can’t, you should keep your mouth shut and do as I say. I want you to leave Jadeborough right now. You’d better run as far as possible because if I ever see you making a mess here again, I’ll send you to hell.”

Although Mr. Sanders spoke in a mild voice, his words sounded shockingly hostile to Jared.

Jared kept quiet and glanced at the dying Skylar, his hand subtly trembling as he held on to the Dragonslayer Sword.

He wished he could just finish off that man with his weapon, yet he knew that with Mr. Sanders in their presence, there was not even the slightest chance of him attacking Skylar.

Skylar is already paralyzed. Even if he makes it out alive, he’ll live in pain for the rest of his life. This pain might be the best revenge I can exact.

With that thought, Jared kept his sword and glimpsed at Howard silently before he leaped into the darkness.

“Get lost, all of you,” Mr. Sanders said to Lachlan and the rest.

The man shuddered in fear at the order and quickly got his family to leave.

“Why did you save Skylar, Mr. Sanders? Why did you ask Mr. Chance to leave Jadeborough?” Theodore asked as he approached the official.

“It’s not him whom I’m saving but Jared,” Mr. Sanders answered, eyeing the man on his last legs. “Jared will die if he stays in Jadeborough.”

Theodore was astonished. Does Mr. Sanders know something? Maybe I shouldn’t ask. I’m not in a position to ask anyway.

After Mr. Sanders left, the remaining Nortons quickly came and carried Skylar into a room for treatment.

To their dismay, Skylar was so severely injured that he would have to remain wheelchair-bound for his whole life, even if they could still save his life.

As a young man and the only heir of a martial arts family, being handicapped was no better than being dead.

Since the servants did not know what to do with Skylar, they could only wait for David’s orders once he returned.

Back in the room, Skylar was left all alone to fight the pain that had driven him close to unconsciousness several times.

Although he could not move a muscle, his eyes still blazed with anger as he recalled what Jared had done to him.

“Jared Chance! I swear I’m not human if I don’t kill you!” Skylar seethed in difficulty.

“Do you want to kill Jared?” a croaky voice sounded from a distance all of a sudden.

“Who is it?”

Skylar whipped his head toward the voice, only to see a figure slowly appearing out of thin air in the room.

The injured man opened his eyes wider to get a clearer view of the man, but the person still seemed blurry to him no matter how he tried.

It was as if it had no bodily form but was only a shadow.

But how can a shadow speak?

“You don’t have to know who I am. I can heal your body and even help you kill Jared,” the voice continued.

“What do you want from me?”

Although Skylar was fatally injured, he was still clear-headed enough to know that there was no free lunch in the world.

Since help was offered, it could only mean that he was expected to return the favor.

“Turns out I made the right choice coming to you. You’re a smart one,” the shadow noted before pausing and smiling. “I want your body.”

“My body?”

Skylar was stunned. What he just heard made no sense to him.

“I’m just a spiritual sense now, so I need to reside in someone’s body. In this case, your body is what I need,” the shadow explained.
