Meanwhile, Skylar was sitting in the patriarch’s seat in the Norton residence.
His father, David Norton, was in seclusion, so he was in charge of all affairs related to the Norton family.

“Well…” Lachlan exhaled sharply. “I did that for his sake. Why doesn’t he understand?”
“You took someone else’s thing for his sake? Howard told me Jared is his friend, but you ended up asking him to trick Jared into coming here. You’re nothing but a thief!”
“Women like you know nothing!” Lachlan snapped.
He tossed his cigarette away and went to Howard’s room.
Knock, knock!
Lachlan knocked on the door and said, “Howard, come out. I need to talk to you.”
“I don’t have anything to say to you! Just leave me alone!” Howard’s furious voice rang out inside his room.
It had been days, but he still couldn’t get over it.
It was all my fault! I never knew my father was someone that despicable.
“I know you’re still upset, but I did that for your sake. Get up and put on some clothes. Bring your mother to your grandfather’s house. No matter what happens here, don’t come back!” Lachlan ordered in a stern voice.
