A Man Like None Other Chapter 1172

Chapter 1172 Not A Threat

“It looks like Jared is about to be defeated. Throwing punches that powerful will drain his energy rapidly.”

One member of the Law Enforcement Department stepped forward and whispered into Xavier’s ears. “Quintus is too powerful. How did he turn those puny pebbles impenetrable?”

Xavier frowned. He kept his eyes on the ongoing fight at the top of the mountain as he replied, “Stop talking and pay attention.”

At the time, Jared was glaring at the arrogant Quintus and gritting his teeth without saying a word.

The Power of Dragons swirled around him, and it looked as though a golden dragon was circling around a useless piece of trash.

“Sacred Light Fist!”

Jared pushed forward. His fist flew as though it were a missile and landed on Quintus.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

He delivered dozens of punches consecutively and never even took a second to catch his breath. The Power of Dragons within his draconic essence kept bursting out of his body.

Unfortunately, even with all that, Quintus remained unharmed. Jared, on the other hand, was so badly wounded that blood rolled down the corner of his lips.

“Are you still standing?”

Quintus turned his attention to Jared. The former’s eyes shone with immense taunt and distaste.

Jared was panting heavily, despite the draconic essence and golden elixir in his body. Expanding his energy like that was too much, and the spiritual energy within him was almost depleted.

Jared gathered his spiritual energy once more. The golden light in his fist kept expanding and becoming brighter. It looked as though it was as powerful as the Sun in the sky.

Just before Jared attacked again, Xavier called out to him, “Jared, stop!”

Xavier jumped. The mountain was hundred-meters-tall, but it only took him one jump to make it to the top.

Quintus grinned when he saw Xavier making his way there. The former said, “So, is this how it’s going to be? The two of you are going to join forces against me?”

His arrogance had maxed out at that point because Jared was already exhausted and was no longer a threat.

Xavier ignored Quintus. He kept his eyes on Jared and said, “Stop attacking him. It won’t hurt him, no matter what you do, because you’re not attacking him at all. You’re attacking the mountain itself.”

Xavier had been observing everything from the side and noticed that Quintus remained fine, even when Jared’s blow landed on him. The mountain, however, trembled as though on cue.

It happened every single time, and that got Xavier’s attention.

“Attacking the mountain? What are you talking about?” asked Jared while frowning. He couldn’t make heads or tails of what was happening at all.

“He must’ve used some sort of magecraft and linked his body to the mountain. That is why the energy you use on those rocks keeps getting transferred into the mountain. Every time you throw a punch, the mountain shakes, and it is obvious that the vibration stemmed from the core of the mountain,” answered Xavier.

The revelation hit Jared, and he finally understood what was going on.

Quintus, on the other hand, frowned in response. He didn’t expect Xavier to discover the truth behind his magecraft.

Jared slowly turned his attention to Quintus after he learned the truth. The Power of Dragons, which had been swirling around his fist, dissipated as well.

“If you need this mountain to keep you safe, then all I need to do is to force you to leave, and nothing can protect you.”

After saying that, Jared zipped forward. He aimed for Quintus’ waist.

He roared and forcefully lifted Quintus, which was a several-meter-tall monster at the time.

Jared threw as hard as possible and tossed Quintus’ huge figure into the air. Quintus flew and practically drew an arc in the air before smashing down on the foot of the mountain.

Quintus reacted by getting back up quickly. He wanted to hurry to the top of the mountain, but the heavy stone armor he had on had made him slow.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Quintus’ huge figure smashed into the ground, creating a hole that was over ten meters deep. It was as though a meteor had landed.

It took Quintus some effort before he finally stood up.

Unfortunately, a silhouette emerged from the top of the mountain as soon as he stood up.

Before Quintus knew it, a heavy blow had been dealt directly to his body.
